I am a soon to be Beaches Negril Bride and I can saw that I am loving the fact that we picked Beaches than anywhere else. One thing I learned through this ... Don't go with the packages choose your items al-la-carte and you can save... Our little man is 5 and he just can not wait to be with Elmo and Cookie Monster baking cookies

I don't know if you already found a place but Grand Palladium Jamaica is a kid-friendly all-inclusive! We have some little nieces and nephews who will be coming to our wedding.

They have this activity center for kids called that has a little wading pool, playground, and activities from 9am-9pm for the little ones.

The Grand Palladium Jamaica side is kid-friendly and the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton side is adults-only.

I too am looking for resorts in Jamaica. I found a good list and was able to put in my dates at resortvacationstogo.com. On this site, I put in my destination and searched for packages which included hotel and air. The site gave me some good ideas of resorts (which you can research) and a ballpark figure for flights.

Try it and let me know if this helps.

I know this is an old thread but I just had to post this.

I had a friend who just got married this past January at the Starfish Trelawny and she LOVED it. She brought her daghter with her and said she loved staying there. There's lots to do and lots for the kids to do! The resort is slightly outdated looking, but other than that its fine. She said one of her favourite things about staying there was the size and that you don'e feel overcrowded(and the price)!! I am currently debating between the Starfish Trelawny, and the Beaches resorts...

You should consult with a local travel agent for the best place for you. I was told from the one I contacted that Beaches Negril was by far the best place for kids. She told me that Beaches are owned by Sandals resorts only that kids under 16 or 18 I cant remember which are not allowed at Sandals resorts so we would have to go to the Beaches resort instead. After checking it out online and reading lots of information she gave us we decided that Beaches is the place for us! I was concered because my kids arent toddlers....they are 13 & 15 when we go next year and I was concerned that Beaches might be set up more for toddlers. I found out that they have a Sesame Street section and you can have breakfast with a Character or something but that's pretty much it! I was worried the older kids feel awkward if it was too "kiddy" but apparantly it's not so now I'm excited! Hope this helps!

Hi,

I'm getting married at Beaches Negril and chose them because they were so kid friendly. I have an 11 y/o and a 3y/o and expect at least 10 more kids to come to the wedding. I spent a long time trying to find the best fit for everyone. Beaches seemed to be the best because the reviews were really great regarding kid activities and the beach (which my fiance and I care about). I thought about RIU but the downside is that they charge more for kids to stay. At Beaches (at least going through AAA) kids were less than adults and were pretty much a flat fee depending on the level room you choose.

The downside to Beaches is that it is more expensive for guest but not totally ridiculous. I am also not sure how great their wedding packages are in comparison to other resorts but we are pretty simple so it didn't matter to us.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
