Am I crazy to have more than one wedding band?

Recommended Posts

So since before I was engaged, I knew I wanted more than one wedding band. What I mean is I want two completely different wedding bands. One to match my E-ring (with diamonds) and the other that is plain white gold that I would wear on its own. The diamond set would be for work, going out and dressing up, and the plain one would be for the gym, camping and chilling out at home. My FI thinks I'm a little crazy, but my mom has two rings so to me it's not out of the question. The other thing is, I love my e-ring and I want to wear it, but I have fallen in love with a thick plain wedding band that just doesn't work with my solitaire. I really want both and I don't want to wait to get the plain one after the ceremony because I don't feel as if it would mean as much. I just can't seem to find one that suits both my needs. So...

a) Am I crazy to want both?

B) How can I incorrporate 2 bands into the ceremony?

Any feedback/suggestions would be helpful.

I'm finding myself in a similair situation! I hope to have (!?) a wedding band that matches my E-ring... However, there is this fabulous, thick, chunky Bvlgari wedding band that I have a hankering for - a little less dressy/formal.

I don't quite know how you'd work both into the ceremony... but don't feel bad for wanting both!

Thanks guys! At least I know I haven't totally lost it (just partially, haha). I think having the priest bless both rings is a perfect way to make both rings special but because we aren't doing a religious ceremony, I'm struggling with this aspect. I was thinking of wearing my plain band for the first time on my right ring finger on the wedding day. It wouldn't exactly be a part of the ceremony, but it would still be special.

I have 4 wedding bands. One for either side of my e ring that matches it kinda. One that is a plain silver band that Matt's uncle made for the both of us. And my Mom passed along my Nana's wedding band to me, that is a wide gold band. Mostly, so far, I wear my ering and 2 bands together, and my Nana's on my right hand. But it was no problem at all incorporating all of them into the ceremony. We had the minister bless them all at the same time, and then only used the ones that we were going to wear then, and handed the others back to the best man to hold until after the ceremony.

I'm going to have 2 wedding bands as well, because my bands are very thin, so I'm going to stack them (they are thin eternity bands). I think it would be easy to incorporate both into the ceremony, but if not, you can always just have one as your "true" one, and the other is just an extra...?

Nope do what you want - they are your rings lol

I managed to persuade FI to get me a sapphire ring too (mind you I had to pay for that untill he's got the cash and it was cheap!!) so i'll be wearing 2 E rings and one dress ring all on the same finger lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
