help with location for photos in Blue Bell, PA

Recommended Posts

So our AHR is in like 3 weeks and we still don't have a location for the photos that we will do before the reception. The reception is at a Chinese/Japanese restaurant in Blue Bell, PA. The photog is from Doylestown, which is about a half hour away. Half of the bridal party is from Chalfont, about 20 minutes away and the other half is from Philly, about 40 minutes away! So we want to try to stay close to the reception site to make it easy for everyone involved, but we are hving trouble finding a place to go. The photog is doing some research, but he isn't really familiar with the Blue Bell area, and honestly, neither am I! Is anyone from that area and can tell me a cool palce to go? I just want a pretty setting for photos. Whether it's a garden/park site, or a museum or cool building. Any one have any suggestions?

Danielle, do you know of anywhere? I thought a fellow photog might know the hot spots...

I live in Philadelphia (downtown) and there are some very cool places down here. Not sure if you would consider driving in town but you could do the art museum or in one of the parks. Isn't Valley Forge park near blue bell? It is really pretty there.

Welcome another Philly girl!! i live downtown too :)

Carly, based on the I-76 construction project that starts tonight, i would not suggest driving into the city - i think it will wind up stressing you out!
i will ask around for some sites from friends xoxo

I am familiar with blue bell, but there are not any places that I can think

of for pictures. if she wanted to come into the newtown area, bucks county

community college is a beautiful place to take pictures. don't know if that

helps at all.

Yeah, I am from Philly and work in the city, so am familiar with places down here, but I don't want to have to travel (or make my peeps) travel all over the place for photos. Since the reception is in Blue Bell and people are coming from a variety of different suburbs and NE Philly, I wanted to try to make it easy for everyone and have photos close by. I might have to suck it up and pay the photog extra for the travel time and go to Doylestown for phtos or something. I don't even really know what kind of scene I want!

I am more into the artisitic shots, not just a lawn area, but I don't know. I suck at this stuff. Keep the suggestions coming ladies, any and all are appreciated!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
