What to buy a two year old girl?

As a mom to 3 girls I have to say that all of the suggestions have been excellent! The only other I could add (if you wanted to go all out) is a tricycle, a kitchen set complete with plastic foods and pots and pans or a Treasure chest with dress up clothes (princess costumes or even a trip to Goodwill/Salvation Army or a local second hand store will produce shiny sparkly big girl outfits at a reasonably cost!) , wigs, hats, boa's, child safe jewelry and a must have- a mirror!

Oh I love the treasure chest of outfits... what a cute idea!!! You all have me excited to go shopping. I will so post pics when I get done shopping.

To be honest, at 2, you do not need to spend $100. I have Ella (my FI daughter who I have been with since birth) and for her 2nd BDay we got so many gifts (seems you do for 1 and 2 and then they stop unless family or super close friends) that she couldn't even play with them all. She loved/loves (still at 3 1/2) anything "Little People." What I would highly recommend that someone did for us and now I do for others is personalized books. You can order a book for about $15 that has the child's name in it all the way through, as it is a story about them and their friends or family that you put in it, with a personalized dedication. Ella has the Ballerina Princess and absolutely loves it. At 2, they are easily distracted and their name keeps them interested, but it is something they will keep with them for years (almost 2 years later she asks to read it at least 1x per week).

 

Don't over spend, they are 2 and love almost anything but have a very shor attention span. Happy shopping, I hope this helps!

My sister just came to visit last week with her little 2 year old. The ESSENTIAL thing was a small travel DVD player, it kept mama busy and able to take a shower or clean the house/cook. Any DVDs - they have to be 20-30 min at most (short attention span), and ones with songs and activities are best, not really a story. Books are GREAT and puzzles, just learning to count and abc's, good luck! :)

I LOVE that book how cute!! Just ordering it now. That is something she can keep forever. I will go shopping this Friday and get her something fun too

I definitely reccommend story books of any kind. There's one by Eric Carle, Mr Seahorse, that is probably one of my favourite stories of all time.

There's also a series of books about a pigeon by Mo Willems, and they are just the cutest things. My favourite is The Pigeon Finds a Hotdog, but there are also Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Pigeon Wants a Puppy, The Pigeon Has Feelings Too, The Pigeon Loves Things That Go, and Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
