Irritated by FI

Ok...so I work from home. I spend all day, most days on the couch on my laptop, by myself (and chatting with you guys).

 

Earlier this afternoon, FI calls me and asks if I want to go to a movie tonight. I get all excited...we haven't gone to the movies in at least a year.

 

Tonight we have dinner, watch some tv and I look up movie times.

 

He goes upstairs to go to the bathroom...doesn't come back down...I figured he laid down, ok...so we planned to go to a 9:50 movie. 9 PM, I go upstairs, try to wake him up, shower, try to wake him up, get dressed, try to wake him up...He's like "I'm sorry" So I tell him "don't be sorry, get up" he goes "I have no umph" So I tell him "if you get up, you get up, I'm not forcing you, it's not worth the fight" (if I force him he'll wake up nasty)....so now it's 9:40 and I'm on the couch on my laptop, by myself chatting on here...the only difference from during the day is I have the TV on (and I'm not attempting to get any work done right now).

 

If he didn't mention going to the movies, I wouldn't have gotten my hopes up...or I might have went to my parents, or convinced my sister to go out (I guess it worked out for her, since she's on a date right now).

 

I'm a bit depressed...and a bit lonely...and he's asleep....

 

Ok, I think I'm done. Thanks for letting me vent.

Aw that sucks my FI does that to me sometimes too and I hate it. Why do they get our hopes up and then disapoint us? I hope your evening gets better.

awwww that sucks! I'd lay it on thick when he wakes up so that tomorrow night he'll make up for it and it'll be even better

I have work tomorrow night Till 10:30...and I worked last night, he was actually excited that I didn't have work tonight. I wish I did...at least I'd be making some money right now.

my "pain in the ass" does this more often than I'd like him too! this happened last weekend to me... we were supposed to go wedding band shopping, yeah well he slept until 2:30 in the afternoon! Now granted since he's been serving his 90 days for his DUI, this was his first weekend home and he wanted to sleep, but.... I want to get this done! In fact we barely spent anytime together at all during the weekend, we spent it with EVERYONE!!!! So I feel your pain... don't let it get to you though, it'll happen another time...
