great review! im getting married at beaches boscobel in october and was thinking about getting micro braids. how did your hair hold up while you were their? i have long thick hair that gets poofy as soon as it starts getting humid. also does the ceremony come with standard decorations or do you have to pay?

Great review!! Although I am not a SGOR bride, I am getting married at a Sandals resort and the info you provided was great.

Thank you for the awesome review!!

I am getting married at the SGOR this November!! It is just the two of us going!!

I am trying to decide what is the best place to get married, the reef terrace gazebo? looks nice and private.

The only extra I am going with is the hair appointment, and the smallest photo package. $150.00., but it sounds like I can always buy more and get them on disc which is what I really want!!! Is that right??

Because it is only the two of us, we won't be doing the 1st dance stuff, or cutting cake, just get married, do some pictures in the gardens, by the beach (if weather cooperates). Then we can relax in our room, *wink* then have our butler arrange a nice dinner for us somewhere.

Did you end up having music to walk down the aisle? My financee is a great trumpet player; maybe he'll play something. hmmm.

We're doing the same thing. Just my honey and I are going to Sandals for the wedding/honeymoon. I have incredibly mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, I'm incredibly thrilled to get a whole week just the two of us in paradise and have a very simple elegant wedding. On the other, I'm sad that neither sets of parents can attend. Its beyond their finances...we wouldn't dare ask them to go in debt just to come down with us. I want my dad to walk me down the aisle and my mom to be by my side...but I just don't see it happening. Are you doing something special with your family afterwards? Does anybody have any suggestions for ways to celebrate with families after the fact. Distance is a big problem. My family lives in VA, his family lives in IL, and we live in NC. We can't seem to figure out how to celebrate with our families without putting everyone out. Our parents want us to have 2 AHRs, one in VA and one in IL. What do you guys think?

Sorry for the rant...just needed to get it off my chest...

Yes we are having an AHR,, but not till March, after Christmas, and winter vacations, etc. Our winters are sooo bad here.. we wanted to wait till then. I'll be sad my folks are not there too.. but, like you, finances are tight, plus other issues..and we really wanted a DW.. so to make things simple we just decided we will elope... just the two of us.

Kisa, I got the shoes literally the day before we left at a side-store at Tyson's Corner in the DC area. Thanks for the compliments! :)
