I think I posted this like three times in this thread, in other area's..Sorry I am new and just getting used to everything. I wanted to say how beautiful your wedding was, your photo's and your dress were spectacular! Could you tell me a bit about the RIU? I am really struggling between the RIU, Dreams Cancun and Moon Palace...Any info would be awesome. Thanks.

Hi and Welcome!

When FI and I first decided on a DW, we were looking at both Dreams Cancun and the Moon Palcae.

We decided to go with the Moon Palace because we've stayed at the palace resorts before. Guests who stay at one, can go play at any of the others and all of their meals and drinks are included. Also, guests who stay 3 or more nights will be allowed on certain excursions at not additional cost (Tulum, Chiten Itza, Coba).

We are getting married in Jan 2009, our guests are paying $422 per night and that includes ALL food, beverages (including liquor), taxes, gratuities and like I mentioned before excursions if they stay three or more nights.

Let me know if you have any questions :)

Good luck! Happy planning!!

As a side note...the beach at the MP is a bit seaweedy...but on the day after the wedding we're planning a trip to the Cancun Palace. They have the AMAZING crystal blue water Cancun is known for. I think the resort does shuttles between each other every 4 hours or so. And since it's a palace resort, we can eat and drink there too :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
