I chose the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. I felt that it had something to offer everyone from age 7-70. With a group rate we are paying $230 per night and the airfare is not too bad, but that is if you are flying from the east coast. they have food packages for your guest on a budget, because the food/drinks are expensive. I originally looked into Mexico, but i was afraid of everyone coming getting sick from the food (it happened to my family on vacation). I also originaly never thought about going outside of 'all-inclusive' but i went to DW in Aruba and we all ended up going off site to eat because the food was boring. We are food people and that was mportant.
    But good luck searching.

        Welcome Jackie!

I'm a newbie too! I see you're form the midwest like me any other midwest brides out there have advice for us on cheap travel? I swear just getting my guests to the destination is half the struggle. Are you finding this to be a problem too?

Hey KC! Yes I am having problems with airfare. It is so expensive from the midwest! I am just trying to get the group discount rate (I think you have to have 10+ people on one flight) and trying to fly in the off season. It sucks though because it's creating a big expense for my guests! I wish I knew of a cheaper way!

I have a bunch of pictures from my WC(shows the food, beaches, a wedding set-up, kiddy pool) if you are interested, PM me your e-mail if you want pics :)
            Hey Andrea :)

I was wondering if you could tell me what travel agency you went through? I'm getting some bogus rates out of Philly and Baltimore airports which are huge cities compared to where you are in Colorado. I don't get it. A woman at liberty travel is telling us $1148 for three nights $1345 for 5, etc.

I am also wondering if you still have the email from one of the wc's at Barcelo that offered you the terrace. Ana and Gabriela are both gone and the new wc, Tania, is telling us the terrace is not allowed for ceremonies. I even fowarded the email from Gabriela where she offered the terrace to me with the photos. I'm wondering if you could find yours maybe I can show her that I wasn't the only one offered the terrace and they can honor it??
