I agree with some of the other ladies that the first two will easily become noticeably scratched.

Have you considered showing him your options and letting him choose? I wanted Tom's to be a surprise, but in the end am glad that I showed him the catalog of Irish bands, b/c he picked a totally different one than my top three -- and he LOVES his ring!!
Yes! I've tried so hard to get him to decide.
Ultimately though I get the best of both worlds. I looked through stuff with him to get a sense of his style. Then I picked about 20 options and he narrowed down to about 6. Now of the 6 I picked 4 and am narrowing it down further.
He honestly says he's ok with any of them.

So in a way he gets a surprise, because he doesn't know which one I'm going to pick!

I think I've made up my mind...
I think it's gonna be #3!!! :)

Going to call my aunttomorrow to see if I can send it to her house as we'll be down near Princeton next weekend. Maybe that way I can get free shipping :)

Thanks for all your help, ladies! cheer2.gif

Woohoo, congrats Andrea!!

On another note, I'm really glad you posted these pics because Martin is thinking he wants to do away with the first ring he got and get something more unique (I tried to tell him this in the beginning, but you know guys... cheesy.gif). He saw this thread and really likes the flat edge step cut, so thanks for the suggestion! :)

Thanks Jaime! smile123.gif
That was actually my favorite in the very beginning, but Kev wasn't super into it. I think it's beautiful! pinkie.gif

  • 2 weeks later...

So, the ring arrived in the mail while we were in NYC and then we had Canada Day (PO was closed), so I picked it up on Wednesday and rushed home to FI to get him to try it on!

It was about $205 after tax, then $10 in shipping and $30 in duties. Not bad for 14K gold men's ring! And they even had it in 1/4 sizes, so I got his exact size! cheer2.gif

FI didn't want to see it - he wants it to be a surprise, so I put it on him and took pics with him closing his eyes. He's so silly!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
