Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Thank you so much! Seeing a pic of the food was very helpful. Sounds like we will also be doing the massage. :)

I'm an EDR bride, but they are similar.

We did the surf and turf as one of our options and it was AMAZING.

We also did the Sky massage at EDR both during our wedding-moon stay, and for our anniversary return. if it's similar at AS, DO IT. we love listening to the waves while getting a massage. so relaxing.

Did anyone use Caribe as their photographer? How did it turn out?

I have been looking at the 2 photographers that are offered at the resort and I have no clue how many hours of photography we would need. We have ceremony and a reception after. I had considered 6 hours so as much as possible could be photographed but the price for matias for 6 hours is $1,000 more than Caribe. Any input on photographer or how many hours would be appreciated. Thanks!

I agonized over photographers in the very beginning of planning. I wasn't happy with either approved photographer. Be careful if you use Caribe.  I forget which packages but the lower priced ones don't include retouched photos...so basically unless you spend over a certain amount all shots are point and click.

I found Matias cano to be pricey with mediocre pictures.

For amount of hours...Do you want getting ready pictures?

I would leave an hour just for that.

Max 30 minutes for ceremony.

Cocktail hour and Pictures

Then reception

Depending on your timeline for reception you may not need 6 hours.  You can do your dances during the salad/soup course & cut the cake early (doesn't have to be done at the very end)

Congrats on your wedding Mrs! @@kaleighMCL

So glad that everything went well for you. Sarani's work is AMAZING! I really wanted to use her for our TTD shoot in the cenotes, but unfortunately her price for the shoot was not in my budget after paying for everything else. Please, please post some of your pictures once you get them back from her!!

@kaleighMCL  do you have any idea which cenote you used?  I am bringing my own photographer and doing a trash the dress session. If at all possible I would love to do it at a cenote.  My photographer is amazing! so I need to find one of the amazing locations that the locals use! Any help would be appreciated :)

Congratulations, Mrs. KaleighMCL! So glad your wedding went well. I am getting married in June on the Sky Terrace. Do you know if the folks back home could record the video stream?

I'm not sure anyone tried - i'm not very techy - so i'm sure there is a way. The feed was apparently very very good.

Hi everyone, I am contemplating having my wedding at Azul Sensatori however my issue is how expensive it is for the guests. Not so much as the actual wedding, but for guests flying in. This resort is beautiful but I feel like 2k a person for 7 nights with airfare is ridiculous and I can't ask my guests to pay that? Question is, is this resort worth this price? Is it that great its going to take everyone's breath away? Thoughts?

really do your research before planning or booking the karisma resorts.  Not only are they expensive for the guests but can quickly become pricey for the bride.  I am getting married at Azul beach.  Planning has been awful.  The initial wedding cost seemed low but they nickel and dime you for everything. Check out the approved vendors- Lomas travel (flowers, decorations) and Matias Cano & Caribe for Photo & video.  I found them to either be pricey or mediocre.  I am paying for my photographer to stay at the resort & now the dilemma is do I want to bring in an outside video guy ($800 vendor fee on top of his price)

In 2010 I went to a wedding at Dreams Cancun.  My friend got married there and her experience was nothing like mine & her wedding was beautiful.  The rooms were reasonable and all the guests had a great time.  Plus you are right on the main strip so if you gt bored on the resort Cancun nightlife is right at your doorstep.

@@Lilgabri03 I would definitely shop around for prices but it also depends on the time of year you choose to get married. We got married in February which is high season, so prices go way up. But even so, the rate I received from my travel agent was $627 per person for 3 nights and each additional night was $186 per person per night. It really wasn't too bad and most of our guests stayed between 4-7 nights. That rate is for a basic room in the family section and our guests rooms were all REALLY nice!! That price of course does not include airfare which is also priced high during February. Hope this helps :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
