Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies! I've been back for a couple weeks now and I'm having serious withdrawal! We had such an amazing time. I would like to thank everyone on here for all your help and info! I couldn't have pulled it off without you. I'll get my planning journal/review on here within the next few weeks. I'm just waiting on a few more pictures but here's a couple to start with.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

We are getting married June 28, 2013 and hired Doremixx. I have heard/read nothing but AWESOME reviews and since I couldn't find any info on the Lomas DJ's I decided to book Doremixx. If you are interested in Doremixx you should contact him ASAP bc his prices are going up for 2013 after this weekend! His prices are very reasonable and even with the $800 vendor fee they are comparable to the ones that Lomas offers.

Personally, unless it's totally out of your budget I wouldn't use an iPod. I think having a DJ can really make the party. He will get people up and dancing and do announcements, etc. There will be a huge difference between a DJ and an iPod in my opinion. :)

Hope this helps!

What is the Divine package? I'm not sure I was offered that one. I was offered the Diamond, Pearl, and Free-Sweet. We are doing the Free Sweet bc we are having a legal ceremony and by the time we paid for a Judge it made more sense to stay long enough to qualify for the Free Sweet and the judge is included in that package. :) I know this doesn't really answer your question. Sorry :/

Thanks SO much Murmel!! I knew I've heard about it, but wasn't sure where it was!! I'll be sure to check it out when I get down there =)

Did you purchase a lot down there in the markets? I'm thinking of even doing a candy table and buying vases/containers to put it in, but I don't want to plan on it if there isn't much selection. LOL Of course there's a Walmart haha! Love it! Thanks again =)

Hope that helps. Just have the cab take you to Market 23- it's only about a 5 minute walk all the way around, so hopefully you'll find it. If not there is always Wal-mart in Cancun.

Congratulations Lara!!!!! You looked AMAZING!! Thanks for sharing the pictures, beautifully done! I'm sure we will all go through withdrawals when our weddings have come & gone! BTW I love your hair, did the spa do it for you? It's almost exactly what I was thinking of doing.

Hi ladies!!! It's been a while that I was away, so busy with work & everything else! So it's been about a month since I sent out our invitations, and have so far received about 20 RSVP's [140 sent]. I am anticipating many late RSVP's going by others on here who seem to all have that problem. But, i am a bit concerned.... I was worried about the font I used to address the invites b/c the numbers are scripted so could be potentially hard to read. But after asking for opinions, I thought it was fine... I heard from a few guests that they never received their invites and then I received a handful at once in the mail with my return address written with an incorrect address [down the block to a neighbor] I'm thinking our neighbor was kind enough to drop them in our mailbox, so now I'm worried. Am I not receiving RSVP's or returned invites and they're going to someone else? I don't know what to do, I'm nervous of waiting until the RSVP date b/c I only have about 6 or 7 invites left =( AND to top this off, the lady who made my invites is on maternity leave -_- A little advice would make me feel way better thanks =)

On a better note.... MY DRESS HAS ARRIVED!!! I was nervous b/c it was set to arrive a day or two after Sandy hit our area. So I think worst case scenario and when I didn't hear from them the day it was supposed to come in, i thought it may have not arrived in good condition. but glad to say it did, I can't wait to go see it!!!! YAY!! pinkie.gif

Hey Jenni, thanks! :) One of my friends who came down is a hairdresser and did it for me. I did see a TON of weddings the two weeks I was there and the spa did a great job on everyone elses. I got my makeup done at the spa. For $20 extra you can have the makeup artist come to your room...I figured it was worth the extra money to not have to worry about running around day of.

Even if you do a legal ceremony in Mexico it is still not legal in the US. The idea of having them draw blood from me was completely out of the question for me. I believe that is the only big difference b/w the gold and silver package. But I agree with Jenny, I choose the silver b/c of the extra perks that I know my FI and i would enjoy.

Elaine-

HI! I am getting married at AS on June 28, 2013 and have been reading this forum like it's a Bible! It's seriously so helpful! I swear I have asked my WC this question, but is what you said true about the marriage not being considered legal in the US?? Do you know that for a fact?

Thanks!!

Megan

If you see her name on the list of dates & usernames a few pages back, perhaps private message her? I actually met my twinnie on here, and I'm so glad I did! We are sharing all of this excitement and can't wait to get there and have a drink together =)

Thank you!! Sorry I just now saw this response. I'm new to "forums." I didn't really understand how to use it all that well as first and honestly didn't have a lot of time to do so much reading. (Still don't but it's funny how you make time when you really want to). I have been really getting more and more into all the planning and this site has been SO helpful!!! I still haven't run across the girl getting married the day after me... Maybe she'll turn up soon. :)

Absolutely! Which spots did you pick for your ceremony and reception? We are getting married March 26th at the sky top lounge and doing our reception at the gazebo by the pool.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
