Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Oh girls, I don't think I told you all that my invites went out this week.  Here is how we ended up wrapping them.  I had posted the actual invite a while back.  My friend and I designed it.

The invitation has a beach background and the same pink starfish on it.  :o)

Then, I also purchased just a plain jersey dress for my TTD.

I am just bringing my 14 month old and there will be two other toddlers so that's the addes concern.

For those who have guests with small kids, do you know what they did about food? Do you know if they prvided microwaves in the rooms?

Thanks!

Never had a problem while we were visiting in April. Really any 4+resort is really safe, and most people who get ill...have had a little too much to drink :)

However, I don't have any kids, so I am not sure what they offer. I know there was a kids menu, but for toddlers...not sure.

Don't remember a microwave, but there was a fridge and coffee maker (so you could get hot water). But remember the resort is super helpful, and I am sure they can find a solution for you.

Hello Ladies!

I'm a newbie...this is my first post. blush2.gif My fiance and I have had a tough time deciding on a location and date, but we are very interested in Azul Sensatori.  Not sure if you ladies can help, but I have a few questions...

1.  We are expecting approx. 50 to 60 guests, can we have a private reception at one of the restaurants (maybe Spoon or Zocalo) without incurring an extra fee?

2.  When choosing the Sky Wedding, do we have to or should we also choose a silver or wedding package although we are interested in a private sit down dinner?

3.  Are the GI Vacation Consultants listed on the site really free of charge?

4.  Do they offer welcome parties/dinners and at what cost?  Will they just allow reservations for all of our guests at a restaurant one night?

5.  Anyone know the cost of center pieces for the tables, additional bouquets for bridesmaids, etc?

6.  For my initial contact requesting info on the resort, should I contact one of the GI consultants or the hotel directly?

Thanks so much!!!!

Welcome! It is really hard making a decision, but hope every little bit helps.

1. Any private function comes at a cost, but it is reasonable. (The dinner included with the wedding package at Spoon is for up to 40, after that I believe it was a per head cost)

2. Don't think you have to go with a specific package, but have to pay an upgrade cost for the Sky wedding (which is a package in itself)

3. We are using a TA who is also a GI agent. We have not paid a cent for their services. And the WC are also free of charge (just be patient, they take a while to respond)

4. don't think they will let you make dinner reservations for all your guests in one spot. All the restaurants, with the exception of La Clique, are first come, first serve. No reservations taken in advance. As for welcome dinners/cocktail hours, there are many different price ranges.

5. From the info I have recieved, centerpieces range from $35 to $300, bouquets $45-300.

6. You can go to the Karima website and look under weddings, there is alot of information online which might help.

Amanda, I would love to see your detail sheet please. We are up to 57 people and counting...I think we'll likely be about 63-65. I'll PM you my email address.

Tisha,

I love your TTD!!  It's going to make for some very sexy pictures especially once you get it wet love.gif

I really like the BM dress!  The color, fabric and flowy quality are great.  I will be honest though and agree with you that it's more flattering on your daughter than it is on an adult.  It's not unflattering by any means, it just seems like it fits better on a person with small hips.

Oh, and your invites are fantastic!!

Tisha, the white dress is going to look amazing with some waves crashing up on it for TTD. ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
