Thank you both for these sites!  I know how I'm spending my Friday night!

Btw...this is JaimeT...I changed my user name.  Call me paranoid, but I realized I didn't want to have mine and my FI's name as the user name.  Just incase someone googled our names, wouldn't want them to see all my wedding planning posts! Silly, I know.

How did you change your user name?  I have been trying to do that since I joined and I can't figure it out!

Unfortunately, the only way I could do it was create a new account, so it took away my post count and Joined date.   I had less than 20 posts, so it wasn't a huge deal.  You have a lot more posts than me to lose!

That's not paranoid at all!  You really can't be too careful these days.  I keep pretty much everything on the highest privacy settings.  I wouldn't want non-brides poking around on here and seeing what I'm doing either.  Sharing, venting, ranting, congratulating---this is for us!

I will take a look for the dress, I know they were odd sizes only, so which would you rather have a 7 or 9 (if I find them)?

Wow... I LOVE your bridesmaids dress and the groomsmen. We have a very similar dress for our bridesmaids!!! I have my groomsmen wearing white linen pants. I think my FI wanted to wear shorts but I decided to have them wear pants :P

LOVE your dress. You look great!!! Yes, the dress bottom detail is beautiful :)

Much to my delight we found a shirt with our wedding colors in it!  As well, my maid of honor was visiting, so I finally have some pictures of me in my dress. Please mind it is much to large in the top, and too long! But my seamstress will solve that in due time cheesy.gif (I am hoping the photos work...this will be my first attempt...and I am not good with computers)

LOL, thanks goodness there is an edit button. I don't think I am getting the photos to work :( sigh...

Arrrggghhhh.....okay so I have a photobucket account. Uploaded the pictures...and now I am obviously lost. Any hints from anyone???

Yippppeee!!! I finally got it right....try #way too many! LOL :)

Ha. My user name is my NAME!!! Understand about changing your username, just in case :)

Hi Ladies!

Hope you all had a great weekend! I was wondering if any of you had suggestions for gifts for our parents. I want them to be somewhat sentimental and I am having a really hard time coming up with ideas. FI has been zero help in this area. His mom mentioned to ME that she needed a new address book (she's very computer illiterate) and that's the only idea he keeps giving me fryingpan.gif! So let me know what you brides are doing/have done. Thanks!!

I thought you only gave parents gifts if they contributed and since ours didn't we didn't get them anything but I'm waiting for our pro pictures to come back and I'm going to get a nice mother/daughter picture frame and put one of the pictures of my mother and I in it and give it to her.  I don't think my husband plans to get his mother anything. Sorry if I'm no help. sad.gif

Sorry, I'm with Danielle on this one.  Our parents didn't contribute to your wedding, so we didn't give formal gifts.  However, we did pay for my mom's trip, so I think that would count as a gift!  I bet AmyKH will be lots of help in this area :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
