We visited in April and the food was amazing! As for the drinks, I didn't find them watered down at all. Plus I was thrilled they make Caesars! (really a Canadian thing...) And the Mojiotos at the Mojioto bar are super yummy :) Never did try the house wines though...we rather ordered bottles or did the wine parring at Le Clique. The resort by far had the best food at an all inclusive I have been to so far. That was one of the main reasons we picked the Sensatori, since FI is a former chef and food is really important to him.

      Thanx :)
A friend of mine attending the wedding happened to be my hairstylist and she did my trial and hair style for free.

I did my own makeup, got a lesson and bought stuff from Bobbi Brown and loved it. I cried like a baby and nothing moved, all night long, everything stayed in place.

I am tempted to do that but I don't think I can do makeup well enough to pull it off.

I am considering getting the LOMAS person to come in but its like $500 on their website. Is that stupid of me to do? thoughts?

PS my FI told me today that he hated the color combo I have been doing. Thanks love for this tidbit that would have been helpful when i showed you the color board 2 months ago! I luckily haven't done much but did have everything envisioned a specific way and got samples of invites and stuff like that.

I'm not bad at doing makeup,,,but I feel like a celebrity when I get it done...and I don't think what I currently use is beach/outdoor/wedding good...
The LOMAS package seemed like a LOT of money....they do it at the spa in a much cheaper pacckage that included your hair and mani and pedi for only $228...(and they even do a makeup trial with that free)
I'll probably wind up doing that...maybe bring a couple makeup staples so I can touch up...
Just wished the spa had pics to show....

I hear you with the color thing...FI wants light pink...WTF just light pink...what the hell am I supposed to do with that?
          Good Luck with that!

So far I'm planning to do my own make-up and use the resort spa for hair. Unless my cousin ends up coming, she's a hair dresser at a big fancy salon... hahaha. :-)

PS ladies - all the to do's kind of freak me out... makes me scared about how much there is that I am just avoiding. Eventually I'm sure I'll get moving, but at this point I'm chillin' (and helping my folks and my FI's folks who are both throwing engagement parties this summer).

PPS - It's my birthday today and I just looked at my profile thing on the side and my age has changed. BOO! haha
            1. Don't Freak Out
            2. Happy Birthday!
            3. I do best tackling small list frequently so try that and it won't be so overwhelming :)

I can't do my own make-up to save my life. If I tried to do fancy makeup I would probably come out looking like a $2 hooker

            ARRG MEN!!!

Well all I have to say is that for me it was a positive experience since I wanted to learn how to do my make up better and more professionally anyways and buy some good quality makeup. Killed like 3 birds with one stone

I'm pretty specific, I knew that if I hired someone to do my makeup (which I hadn't read good reviews for when I made my decision) and they did a crappy job I'd be pissed and have to do it for myself anyways. Do you have girlfriends that are good at makeup? You could ask them or bring pictures of what you want.

I did my trial in January and literally every time I put on makeup, which is really only for the weekends, I practiced doing my wedding look and perfecting it and practicing put on eyelashes. Now I'm actually really good at doing my makeup and got a lot of compliments on my wedding makeup from other brides asking me who I used. D just 2 days ago mentioned something about how gorgeous my makeup was and asked who I used! I said, hello I did it myself, you didn't know? He said, "wow! It was really good, you should be a makeup designer!" I don't know what a makeup designer is but I'll take it as a compliment.

LOL, omg I would smack him! You should start faking him out and showing him pictures of things you "decide" on that are really ugly, not your actual decisions but just to freak him out... omg I'm mean aren't I?

We are bringing a photographer with also....I thought it would have cost quite a bit more but found a photogragher here that is giving me a fantastic price and will be doing 2-3 days of photos...It is actually cheaper for me to bring her, so were pretty excited. I did look into the photographers the resort offered and was not too impressed, so this was a better fit for us since photos are pretty important.

I agree. I thought it would be much more expensive, but when we totalled up what we were getting, it became a great price to bring our photographer with us. He will be doing photos at our welcome cocktail party, the wedding and then trash the dress! So excited :)

Thank you ladies for the birthday wishes. I'll try and prepare myself for the looks of disbelief. A girl on a patio at lunch today told me I looked 23 (she was far away and I had LAAAARGE sunglasses on, which hid 80% of my face. hahahaha)

And today's my son's 1st birthday. This morning was just perfect, we played and open presents, went out to breakfast and now all of this.
I might kill the groomsmen, not gonna lie.
Mine was yesterday! Turning 29...on a MONDAY! OUCH! haha I really did have a great day though!
YEAH BABY!! Sorry it was a Monday - that's lame. But kick ass birthday. I knew I liked you. haha

(sorry... one too many martinis at lunch perhaps). :-)
