We were lucky in scoring that venue! My photog has shot some weddings there and she just asked them if we could use it for a couple hours for boudoir. We were expecting to get just one room, but since they had nothing going on that day, they let us have the whole place...for FREE!!!

FI and I picked out and paid for the boys outfits last night and I made a pre-wedding brochure with a packing list and information about navigating through the Cancun airport and connecting with their tranfers to the hotel. I feel like I got alot done last night.

I also just got my bridal bouquet proof pictures and the groomsman bout's pictures of my real touch flowers. I really love my bouquet!! My BD book has been ordered as well, all pictures, quotes and inscriptions finalized. Girls, let me tell you this was a long process... I had to pick 35 out of 250 pictures and figure out inscriptions and whatnot. I hope it looks good! I will put pictures up of it once I get it.

I also made my MOH's gift last night, it's a really random gift, nothing to do with me and her but it's something that will make her cry which really what I like to go for. I bought this gold vintage locket, it's like 2 inches long and got her mom to scan photos of herself at 17 as well as herself at age 17 and put them in the locket. Those are the 2 women in her life that really inspire her and she loves so I figured why not :)

Tonight I'm going to my first dress fitting with my MOH, a bridesmaid and a groomsmen all that don't have to work today. I'm excited, it should be fun, especially going to dinner and getting drinks today for St. Patty's :)
I agree on all the FI support. It's comforting to know this is normal!

Nice job on getting things done! And your MOH gift is the sweetest ever!!! You're so thoughtful.

Have fun tonight!! I'll be home nursing a nasty cold I picked up last weekend sad.gif

Welcome back!! Gorgeous grown, fab pics and soooo happy for you!! My FI liked the pics as well. He liked the in TTD photos in the street. I love it when he gets excited and adds input. What package did you choose because your set up was perfect! Did you have a private reception and where. If this is toooo many questions let me know. Can't wait for the detailed review!!! Congrats Lolo!!!

Thanks for all of the compliments ladies!!
We got the silver package. The private reception was at Zavaz Plaza.....BEWARE.....it gets very chilly at night and I should have booked the open air restaurant. Just our luck our wwedding night was one of the coldest,so maybe it wouldn't have been so bad on another night.
Also I did not have to pay extra for their sand ceremony. It is included in the silver package.

Back to work today smile27.gif
Have a lovely day ladies!!!
Did you have to bring your own vase for the sand ceremony or did the resort provide you with one. What did you do for centerpieces?

How many guests are you having? The outdoor restaurant by Chill is supposed to be super nice where Bree had her wedding.

Did you ever have your locations in writing from Karisma?

The supervisor is Fabio. Call the wedding department and ask for him. I don't have his contact details. Sorry.
We are having 18 total (16 guests and us). We asked for Chill, since it was smaller. It's also a Tuesday, so I don't really understand what the problem is. I know that my wedding will be great once I get there, but I don't know if I would ever recommend a Karisma property to anyone after this - it was such a small thing that has become a HUGE deal. I am really laid back and basically just filled out my form and sent it back with my flowers, set-up, etc. (since we went on a site visit, we had a lot of our questions answered at that time), so it makes me even more mad. All resorts have their problems, but I don't hear about the BS that we have to deal with from other brides at other resorts.

Do you have anything that says that you can have Chill? I thought I had printed stuff off the internet, but I don't have anything that lays out the now "old" options.

today I have got done.... (and yes, i should be in bed, yet here I am anyway!!)

- booked seats on flight (not on my list of things to do but we all know how that feels!)

- written out, compiled, stamped and enveloped up extra invites for more AHR guests

- starting going through my guest list for AHR and texting people for replies (those of you on my facebook you will probably also have seen my status!! haha)

- updated my wedding spreadsheet for AHR guests - put numbers in from the responses we've had so far and added the extra guests we've invited

- paid my final balance (again!) for my new wedding ring and arranged for it to be delivered to my work TOMORROW!!

and that's it so far. but I'm determined....if I get all these things done then there's nothing left to stress about and we'll all be happy again :)

hope your lists are all going well too!

While $140 is not much in the grand scheme of things, it's the principle of it that really pisses us off, so we will not be using the umbrellas!
That's crazy it is not even AS stuff. I don't blame you, I would not use the umbrellas either.

I guess I need to start this also. I am excited to write my own vows but I know it will make me stress out. I am really bad at this stuff.

I was thinking about providing our own reading for the sand ceremony, you can find ideas online, then maybe it will be longer than two sentences. I am just going to plan to bring my own stuff and not even let Tiffany put sand ceremony on my detail sheet and just discuss it with the onsite planners.

Are those of you who are doing the "hand ceremony" also doing a sand ceremony? I think this is also really cute but wasn't sure if it was strange to do both?

Buying pasminas was the best thing I did! I actually bought them in bulk. I went in on a bride group order from this website and got them for $3 each!!! I got one for every woman that was attending my wedding in mexico. And I ended up having them tied around my beach chairs(for colored bows) so It doubled as a favor and bows! I got 3 different colors, pink, silver and charcol gray. Then the guest were directed to take one when It was over. Worked out fantastic! It gets cold at night there and the guest kept coming up to me saying what an awesome idea that was!
Do you know what website?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
