Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi Girls

I just got finished reading through all of the threads and everyone has given so much information. We are still waiting to hear back from our TA about getting married July 24th. I am hoping we will know by tomorrow. I have a few questions about the ceremony. Like many on this forum we wanted to get married legal before going down but we are also catholic and would want it at least blessed. So we are looking at going to the Justice of Peace a few days before, Azul for the ceremony and then coming back to get it blessed by the church. Is this crazyhuh.gif Does anyone have any other ideas. Our priest is very old school and thought we should not lie to our guest by saying we are getting 'married' in Mexico since we are not legally and will be before we go.

Thanks!!

I have just begun planning my destination wedding for next November! I am working with a wedding planner and she recommended Azul Sensatori. I have read mixed reviews about it and heard that the beaches in Mexico aren't as nice as others in the Carribbean. I've been to Jamaica and Bahamas and thought those beaches were beautiful but I have never been to Mexico. I was hoping someone who has been down there could give me there thoughts on the hotel and location. Any information would be really helpful. Thanks !!

Hi Kelly. My BF just had her honeymoon in Puerto Morelos at the Excellence and she said it was the most amazing water ever. I live in Bermuda and she said it was prettier than Bermuda, which I have a hard time imagining! I was considering the Bahamas for a while but the mosre I saw, the less I liked and thought Mexico was prettier. The southern Carribbean looks amazing too but it was much more money for flights and more time in the air. My sister just had a baby (in Maryland like you) and I wanted a shorter flight. The Azul is only 20 mins by van to the hotel from the airport; that was important to me too.

Best of luck deciding!!

ah hun, it's ok to be airbrushed...if it's not something you wanted to have done, just think, you're only doing it to make it look like how you will in a week or so when it's all healed, so it's not as if you're reshaping yourself or anything. same im guessing as if you woke up and had a spot that day! it's perfectly acceptable to have these things airbrushed to make you how you are most of the time :)

I'll keep everything crossed it heals in time, but if it doesn't, just get a little airbrushing for this very acceptable reason :)

I have paid my deposit but haven't sorted a date yet, but I have ear-marked the last week in March. I'm so nervous it's unreal.

I love to exercise so I stayed on the Gazelle truckin' it the whole 50 minutes I was mummified. It was uncomfortable on my legs because the wrap was really tight and I actually rubbed off skin on the back of my thighs righ below my butt. It's really painful and red and a little puffy and I need it GONE by Sunday?

Does anyone have any secrets to healing dumb wounds?!
hahaha so sorry to laugh, but I thought I was the only one in the history that had done something like this!! I went and got a bodywrap RIGHT before I left for the beach...well, yep, you guessed it...I rubbed the skin right off. It really depends how quickly your skin heals. I would DEFINITELY think that it will be gone by Sunday. But to make you feel better, here are some things I did:

I wore super loose clothes...also, a thong, not regular undies :) I think I put vaseline or neosporin on there to heal it. It may scab a little. But i think you can use some Mac (or whatever brand) heavy coverage makeup to cover it. Like any "rug burn" type deal, ice and cold water will get the swelling down. FI is gonna be like, what the HELL are you doing?!? hahaha And if worse comes to worse, she can airbrush JUST that little spot.

What if you just did EVERYTHING when you got back? You could do the symbolic ceremony in mexico, and then get married when you return. I have been contemplating this myself. I had originally decided to do it before we left, but then I started feeling guilty about getting married before...who knows why. There may be a forum on here about Catholic weddings and when people are getting married "officially." You should do a search and see!

I was wondering if you could get married legally in Mexico and also have the religious ceremony there too? So you could do the legal part with your witnesses in the hotel lobby or something and then have the religious ceremony following it so its all on the same day?

I am getting married legally in the US (most likely) b/c we need our marriage certificates asap and I have heard Mexico can take a few months to produce. I would like to do it before we go to Mexico, but I pushed it to my FI's responsibility so we'll see.

It's in a tiny jar, and its about $40 but definitely worth it. I use it has a moisturizer for my face, but its great for burns, bites, rashes, etc...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
