Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Ladies it seems like this forum needs a boost... I just wanted to see what everyone is currently working on at the moment, I feel like I'm always missing something since there is so much to do!

Here is what I just completed/purchased or am working on:

I just sent out a bunch of postcard reminders which I made on Vista Print

- RSVP postcard in an envelope requesting an RSVP by date

- Booking reminder postcard

- Thanks for booking, don't forget your passport postcard

I decided on my reception menu and cocktail reception

Also I ordered business cards and clear sealable plastic badge holders & clear wrist coils for a room keycard/tip holder

I am currently sewing a few tote bags which I may do that for the bridal party

I am putting my deposit down on my Real Touch flowers which I'm SO happy about, it took me forever to decide what I want

I'm starting a workout program for my BD shoot

I'm sitting down tonight to workout the wording for my official invites, I'm having them made

I just put a deposit on my custom cake toppers yesterday

Researching hotels to honeymoon at close to Sensatori or a short flight away

Alright there's more than that but I can't think anymore!

What are you ladies up to currently?

- I just went for my first dress fitting yesterday! I'm very excited! I'm having it made for me.

- Still need to get FI a shirt and tie. We have his suit (cream coloured linen jacket and beige linen pants)

- Working on formal invites. We are making them ourselves. We will send them out January 1st and ask for a rsvp by February 28th (i think...not 100% sure on dates yet) We are getting married July 2nd 2010, but I want people to get on booking.

- No idea what we are doing for centerpieces or oot bags yet. I'm thinking we'll start dealing with those after christmas.

- FI and I are taking ballroom dance lessons! It's a lot of fun but expensive! They are going to coreograph (sp?) something for our first dance.

I think that's all right now

Meghan wow!!

You already have 42 people booked I'm so jealous... you seem way ahead of me too.

We are too sending out invites January as well, not sure when I will request a drop dead date for RSVPing.

Dance lessons too, how fun!!! FI would never do that with me, I've never asked but I really doubt it. Do you know what song you're dancing to yet?

Hi ladies -

Only 6 weeks until we leave! I finally feel like things are coming together - I've got the beach towels embroidered, napkins and giftbags with out logos and I'm getting waterproof wallets with our logo too. I also found a place that does personalized disposable cameras with our picture on them - so cute. I'll see if I can post some pics soon.

I decided to order my own chair bows and table runners - saving about $125 doing it myself and hopefully I can sell them when done!

We also just had our last round of showers this past weekend with my FI's family - so now it's just a countdown. We have 69 people confirmed!

Can't wait to see the updates from the most recent brides!

Our first dance is everything by michael buble. What's your first dance going to be? or are you having dancing? I dont know what I'm going to walk down the aisle to though...do you know what you are going to have playing?

Andrea that's so excited!!! I'm so jealous of you girls! I don't have that many people coming to my wedding... 95% of my family will NOT be coming, not even my parents. It is what it is I guess...

Where are you buying your chair sashs from? I don't think we can move them from ceremony to reception so I may only buy them for one or the other.

Meghan, I have an option song to dance to but it's not definite yet. I'm walking down the aisle to "Something" by The Beatles but the Jim Sturgess version from Across the Universe.

I sent my invitations out in August and have RSVP by January 15th. I guess it doesn't really matter if people RSVP by then or not, but we wanted no excuses with the "cost factor". I also sent out Save the dates for our local reception so that guests who were not invited to the wedding, knew that they were invited to something. I did not invite my aunts or uncles or cousins and a lot of close friends too to Mexico so this way I thought it might save some hurt feelings.

Right now I am trying to decide if I should get my 3 tier cake w/ fresh flowers I want or stick with the dumb little free one since my meal plan involves dessert. Its almost $550.

I would like to start writing my brochure & planning the excursion (zip lining preferably) and our rehearsal dinner which is really just a catamaran cruise!

I am also trying to think about showers and bachelorette parties. Do I really want everyone to travel to those plus my wedding? Whats everyone else doing? I don't live in my hometown anymore, and my friends and family are all over the place.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
