Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Also,

as for guest bags, I found really cute ones at exclusively weddings.com

They say "welcome to our wedding weekend" and have shells and starfish on them. We are filling them with beach themed gifts, sunscreen, magazine, and m&m's with our faces on them. They are really cute and you can personalize them at m&m's .com

Thanks Kelly...that's my thought too...going to Mexico let's have it on the beach! So then the dinner would be set up under the tent, with the dancing (I've requested a dance floor) happening under the night sky? hmm...although I think tents are darn expensive it might be worth it. Our ceremony is set for the beach and then a cocktail party with Mariachi and the donkey bar at the yoga place on the beach.

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that my FI and I stayed at Dreams less than 6mths ago and we were BORED out of minds after 2 days. I think you should stay with Azul as I can almost guarantee you will be MORE satisfied then at Dreams. beautiful resort don't get me wrong....but SOOO BORING!!!

Thanks for the input girls, it's really helping!
I'm confused by that too! We are assuming we'll have 50 peeps and Tiffany is telling me that it will be too tight at Zocalo al Fresco to seat everyone and have a buffet. Therefore we have to choose a sit-down dinner to conserve space. Seems odd that they would require such a small margin of minimum...

I would push to secure the space if that's what you have your heart set on. I'm going back to her tomorrow to push back on the space issue. I will keep you posted.

Good luck!

Does anyone know about the actual location on the beach they use for the set up and if it's at all sheltered a bit from the wind?

And to all those past brides, what flavour of cake did you have? I'm leaning towards Hazelnut...has anyone tried it and if so what did you think?

Rtswan...the $12 meal is on page 26 of the Event Kit...Menus 1A & 1B to choose from. We are going to go with Menu 1A and change the soup to a salad.
Hazelnut?! Tiffany told me the only options were chocolate, vanilla and strawberry!! WTF is up with her?!?! They have to know we are all on this forum, she could at least get the simple things straight... GRRRRRR

Thanks for the info girls! I can't have the Plaza b/c the other wedding is booked at the Wave which from what I am told is fairly close to the Plaza (or at least you'd see or hear the other wedding going on)...can anyone confirm this who's been there?

So, not to be too tight at Zocolo I think I will just go with the beach. I am a little worried about the wind but I think it will be great. Now I am considering the whole tent thing....but I kind of want it just bare on the beach. Those that have done or seen the beach what do you thinkhuh.gif? Would you then need addtl decoration for the tent?

Melissa-for the DJ...did you just take away and add from his list or did you write your own list and they said he'd just "play it for you." How much control are you giving the DJhuh.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
