Super lame! I haven't heard great reviews from the Lomas djs, but heard great things about Doremixx. When is your wedding?

At the time I booked Doremixx I couldn't find any info on the resort djs and they didn't have a website which I thought was poor business and also scared me. I didn't want Doremixx to book up so I booked him fast. However, since then I have read more and more girls on this thread say the resort DJ was perfect.

Happy planning everyone :)

Welcome to the forum Lindsay!

Hey ladies! I finished all of my centerpieces, 24 in total [3 per table]. Well worth the time I put into it, they came out better than I could have expected. Best part of all, the total cost for everything needed to make these came out to less than $10 a table!!!!

Jenny- I love the different detail work on each jar. Makes it look very romantic!

Hello everyone! Im Jade from the UK! Oh my god im soo excited i have 1 week and 6 days (and counting) until 2014/2015 holidays go on sale which can only mean my fianc© and I book our September 2014 wedding!!!! Im sooooo excited its unreal!! And we already have have 21 deposits to book ;) I was wondering if you ladies would mind answering a few questions? Is anyone able to email me spa packages? As i was looking on Lomas and the make up, hair is really expensive compared to other hotels and i really wanted to treat my mum and bridesmaids in the morning of the big day!! Is the aisle on the beach okay to wear heels? And when you book do you get special offers and discounts or is everything fully priced on lomas? Im finding it hard to look for crystal beaded backdrops for the gazebo as im from the UK! Does anyone have any suggestions? And i may sound a little blonde..but how do they fit on the gazebo and dont fall down? Jade xxz

Very excited for you! As for your questions- the spa prices have changed since my wedding. I would think you will get an updated list from your wedding coordinator when you are assigned. (But if I remember correctly, expect an updo to be about $80) The sand on the beach is fairly firm. So as long as you don't put all your weight onto your heel you'll be fine. I wore heels and had no problem walking. If you book with a travel agent who is GI certified, you may get some promotions or specials. Otherwise expect to pay full price. (If you need a GI travel agent, try Wright Travel. There is a link in my profile below) I know the beaded backdrops you are talking about, but unfortunately have no idea where to find them. I would guess they would just tie them onto the gazebo. There are 4 beams around the top edge of the gazebo. There are photos in the Official Sensatori thread- again cluck on the link in my profile below. Good luck!

Thank you! Ive got ages to plan but just want to be extra organised haha! i cant wait to book and pay for the wedding in 2 weeks, my finces got my rings and I've got most of the decor i want to use for the ceremony & reception! Can i ask (sorry more questions!!) Im going for Cadbury purple colour..what do you recommend using for the gazebo as i love satin but im not sure if itll be too dark on the beach? At what point do you book the cocktail party, private meal and reception per person? Jade

Also are candles allowed at the outdoor private reception?

Welcome to the forum girls!! Congrats on your engagement and decision to have DW!! My wedding isn't until June but I can tell you so far the planning has been SO fun and this forum has made it possible without banging your head against a wall ;) you will not regret having a DW!! :) Everyone on this forum is so helpful and kind! You will seriously find everything you need and realize you find out more here than through your WC! Haha. A lot of us have weddings coming up and I know a lot of us Azul girls are intending to write our planning threads soon. I totally recommend reading those bc it gives you an opportunity to see a wedding plan from start to finish in one spot! You will get tons of ideas and see how girls bring and make their own things and avoid the ridiculous lomas prices. I didn't use lomas for a single decoration or flower. Ill be writing my planning thread soon and will post the link here. Good luck and enjoy planning your wedding! It's one of the most fun years I've had. :)
