Hi Gina, I loved my makeup the lady at the spa did for me!  I bought my own MAC makeup as a backup because I was nervous before my trial, but didn't end up using it because the spa uses MAC, and they have an incredible selection of everything!  Trust me, you have nothing to worry about :)

Thanks so much!!! =) Your pictures were beautiful! I am also using Dean for photography!

My FI and I have been doing a lot of research on Azul Sensatori.  It is definitely our top choice as of today. I have a few questions that I've been having a hard time finding the answer to.  Would love to hear what other brides have to say!  Our wedding will be in April/May of 2014 and we're estimating around 40-60 guests.

        1. How private is the beach ceremony and the Zavas reception?  From most of the pictures we've seen, it looks like they do a pretty good job keeping other resort guests away but it is hard to tell since these are professional photos from the right angles.  We want an intimate celebration without bare chested old men gawking at our event :)

        2. We don't want the party to stop after the reception.  Did you all go out to the Mojito Bar afterwards?  How was it?

        3. Did you use the preferred DJ?  DJ All Music I believe.  I looked at his website and it looks like it would be about $2000 to have him for the cocktail hour and reception.  Seems a little expensive but with the $800 vendor fee, I doubt we'd be able to bring an outside vendor in that would be any cheaper.  What was your experience with DJ All Music?  If you brought someone else in, how was it and (if you don't mind me asking) how much did it cost?

        4. Did you use the preferred photographer?  Caribe.  What was your experience with them?  We aren't extremely impressed based off their website but maybe their work is better than what shows up on the site?  We really like Elizabeth Medina and Del Sol but are thinking they are way out of our price range (still waiting for a quote).  Does anyone have any other recommendations for local photographers?

        5. How many weddings does the Sensatori have on the same day?  Did you notice the other wedding and did you feel like you received less than dedicated attention because of it?

        Thank you VERY much!!

        Hi Beachbride-

We went to the Mojito bar after our wedding/reception and there was NO ONE there.  This worked out GREAT for us as we took over and the DJ even downloaded and played the music we wanted for a small tip :)  The whole resort seems to wind down fairly early, we thought...but we had a group of 36 so we had a great time.  The bartenders at the Mojito bar (well really all of the bartenders) are awesome and they really help to make everything really fun as well.

We used Caribe with some reservations.  We didn't want to spend the money for some of the other photographers PLUS the outside vendor fee so we decided to go ahead and hope for the best.  We were EXTREMELY happy with our pictures!  Our photographer was Vucko Raskovic, I would definitely recommend requesting him.  He was easy to work with and did GREAT work.  Seriously I recommend him whole-heartedly!!!  I posted some pics several pages back...wedding was at the end of January....and you can check out his FB page here.  https://www.facebook...graphy1?fref=ts

        Hope that helps!

You are so welcome!!! The little lights from Michaels come with batteries that need to be put in right before the wedding so we are just going to give them to the wedding coordinator and have them put them in when they set everything up- I spent so much time trying to figure out the throwies and they were stressing me out too!! haha I emailed my coordinator as well about the tables so we can keep each other updated :-)

Great idea about giving it to the WC! I'm going to do the same. And yes, I will let you know what my WC says about the tables. Who is your WC, btw? It would be pretty funny if we have the same girl. Mine is Erika Torres.

The wedding coordinator told me the round tables are 5ft across at plaza zavas.

I just found out tableclothsfactory.com is having a 20% site wide sale on their already super cheap table clothes, chair sashes, etc. I have been procrastinating with table runners, etc and now I'm all "oh i have to order today!" haha SOOO... does anyone know what the measurements are of the round tables that they have at the plaza zavaz for a private reception? Also, I am planning on having a table for the cake, a table for guest book, etc. Does anyone know the sizes of those tables? OH- and the table at the end of the aisle for the ceremony...? ANY input would be great! I'd like to check this off my list but I don't want to under order. Thanks, girls!

            Congrats!!!! Have a wonderful trip!!

Hi Ladies, We are leaving tomorrow and getting married on Thursday.  Without the help of this forum I would not be nearly as organized and calm as I am right now.  We are watching tv and drinking wine! I can't wait to get to the resort tomorrow.  I will be sure to let you all know how it goes and give any advice that I think may be helpful.

              Hi ladies

Im getting married April 9, 2014 and I want to get a head start on planning things.

Wondering if any of you picked the lobster and steak dinner for your guests?

What dinner menus are the best?

I have Elizabeth Riff she is awesome and responds really quickly.... I started with a girl named Amanda and she wouldn't respond for like over 2 weeks so they gave me Liz and I've been so much happier- I recently heard that Amanda isn't with the company anymore and I was not siprprised
