No I am using my own travel agent. I think I get just a resort credit, which I am hoping to use for the spa. sad.gif I am also bringing my own photographer from home. I am just going to go with the mexican fiesta since its the cheapest, and we can stay witht he Theme! woot.gif

They are round tables of 8.  I think at one time my WC said they possibly had different table sizes, but I don't know if that is actually true or not.   I would plan on tables of 8, if at all possible.  We had 7 round tables of 8, and then one table with 9 (same size table, just crammed one more in due to an odd number), and then our sweetheart table.  It all fit nicely in a circle around the gazebo.

Yippey!!! Congrats! Are you going with Azul Sensatori? or Azul Beaches?

We set up our wedding page through www.mywedding.com. Super easy and free. There are a few other good sites, some being free and some costing a fee.  I would shop around and see the sample pages. There might be a sample that jumps out at you.

Happy Planning!!!! cheers.gif

Thanks for the advice Murmel and JennyBenz.    My Aunt and Cousin booked their trip!  Originally,  their TA had asked for adults only section - of course there won't be rooms with 2 beds.

Up to 30 guests now!

Glad to hear they will be able to make it!

Hoping someone [perhaps a newlywed?] can help me out with a dilemma I just ran into-

I was just speaking with my WC about the ceremony- we are doing a legal ceremony- and they told me the judge will most likely speak Spanish and have it translated. I requested English-speaker, so hopefully that works out =/

Also, just found out we can't change any details of the ceremony and if we wanted to say our own vows, we'd have to do it after the ceremony concludes- really?! LOL I don't want to do that, as it's silly and really thought they'd let us play a little with the words being said since it's our wedding, but apparently not! Any advice, what did you experience? I'd appreciate your help =)

Thanks everyone!!

Jenny

Yes, unfortunately the legal wedding must be done in Spanish (done by a judge). However they do translate it english (usually the WC). I personally think it adds to the unique experience of a destination wedding. wink.gif But after the legel stuff, i think they say you are man and wife, they will allow personally vows, before announing you Mr. and Mrs. to walk down the aisle. Just make sure to inform your WC at your inital meeting.

I am new to this board - I originally wanted to get married at Dreams Los Cabos and have been waiting for 8 months for the price to drop, but in the end it is just too expensive and I feel too guilty asking my guests to pay 2k a person.. after much search I think Azul Sensatori is the place for me! I plan to get married in April 2013.. am looking into rates/ availability now. Need to book ASAP.

I think I spent 10 hours yesterday reading posts on this board lol! It is sooo helpful so thank you all!!

I wanted to ask those who were already married here - is the sky terrace really windy since you are elevated? Would appreciate the feedback. Thanks so much!

To be very honest, the entire area is usually quite windy. More so on the Sky terrace, but there is always some wind on the beach.

Round tables of 8 comfortably. They do offer a sweetheart table, or a rectangle table for the head table (I only ever saw 2- so it might fit about 4 to each rectangle one)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
