Hi, I just joined BDW.  My wedding will be on Jan. 26, 2013.  I've just been assigned a WC, Amanda, and am not seeing very good reviews of her on here...hmmm....do I cross my fingers and hope for the best or would you suggest I request someone else already?  I haven't even talked to her yet!  ha

Hi All

 

I need some wording advice... I am getting close to my rsvp date and after that there is a 2 week window before I will need to reduce the number of rooms reserved to avoid penalty ... I have several guests who have rsvp'd yes but who have not booked their room yet... my TA rec sending out a mass email to those who replied yes but who have not booked their room... has anyone had to do this and if so would you be willing to share your wording?

 Yikes. I am not sure how you would switch coordinator but I am almost certain reading somewhere you can't bring in outside dessert. I believe it is b/c of liabilitiy issues and god forbid if any of your guests become sick from the dessert, AS would not want to be blamed for it.  sorry not much help..

 Honestly, I would actually call those guests and explain the situation you are facing. I think that is more personal than sending out a mass email.

Rachel, I say give her a shot especially if you haven't had any contact with her yet! I'm working with her as one of my WC's, and so far I've had no problems, and I'm happy with how the planning has been going!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
