Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

We did the BBQ Deluxe menu for our welcome party, and the family style menu for our reception.  Our guests LOVED both menus, and just raved about the food at our events.  Because we did the Welcome party on the beach, the buffet was set up at the little Beach Grill stand (that is open for lunch).  It worked out perfectly for our purposes.  I'm not sure how they set it up in other locations, but I'm sure it would be just like any standard buffet.

My reception is at the Zocalo Terrace.  I can have the buffet there right?

Thanks :)

BTW- Congratulations!! When was your big day?

Any advice to a girl like me that's 11 months away and still has lots to do?

June 26th!  We leave the 24th.

I just started planning mine in January and we only invited immediate family so I didn't do the STDs or even invitations.  I think my best advice would be to stick to your budget and don't go crazy over OOT items or expensive things that won't matter to you or your guests in the end.  ENJOY the planning and forget the drama (if there is any!).  I'm already starting to miss the research and planning stages as we're done and starting to pack.  I can't imagine how I'd feel if I'd been planning for a year or more like some of you.  So excited that it's finally here though!!

Nothing... Alfresco is the Mexican restaurant and the Terrace is the outside area of the restaurant.  That's what I was told..

Hi.. for those of you who have been there already.  I'm looking at ordering the room key/ ID holders that close.  Does the room key from Azul fit into the standard size holder (business card size)?

Also, do we need tip money there?  I was told that tips are included.

Thanks.

Dawn- we always tip when we are in mexico- even in an all inclusive. Not required but it is totally the right thing to do.

ANYONE who has already booked. WE ARE in a bit of a panic. We are getting married april 20 2013 and just received our first quote for our trip from our TA. For an 8 day trip, she is quoting us at around 6000 dollars. I think that is SO high!! Is this really what it costs? we vacation in mexico every year and have never paid that much. I am panicking that no one will come if it is that high priced. Totally freaking out!! Need advice please!

That sounds WAYYY to high to me.  Our rooms are averaging about 150 per night for the luxury Jacuzzi suite which most of my guests are staying in.  My FI and I are paying  1638.00 each for our Swim Up suite for 7 nights and we are doing the free wedding package.  Obviously things will add up but that's the basics for us for now.  We are 6 days behind you!

Yes that is extremely high.  For luxury jacuzzi suite, it should be approx $2,640 for 8 nights double occupancy. That's basically $165/per person per night. Some other brides were able to get $150/pp. per night but the range you should be in is $150-165. Not the quote you are getting. Is your TA considered a GI Karisma travel consultant (i think that is what they are called).?

Hi! I am almost certain the room key is standard business card size. I did a site visit last year and I do not remember it being anything out of the ordinary. Also, past brides have posted pics of the room key holders they ordered for their guests and I remember it looking like just business size. Unfortunately, it is HIGHLY recommended you bring plenty of small bills. Between tipping the guy who drives you to AS and back to the airport, and tipping the cleaning lady, and hopefully a favorite bartender and the staff involved helping your BIG day turn out perfectly...let's just say it is better to bring it just in case....just my personal opinion.

Although I am sure i would not have done the job you did!!! Amazing job! And can't wait to see more of your stuff!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
