Honestly, I'm not sure what happened with the ipod. I had it set up in playlists, ceremony music, dinner music and reception. Basically all they needed to do was press play and let it roll. I don't know if it was my guests bugging the guy, or my guests trying to pick songs or what, but basically random music played (I heard at least two songs I didn't pick), I missed out on one slow song that I really liked (I had only picked three slow songs to play throughout the night), and one of the slow songs played three different times!! I thought our guests were really dancing to the music I chose and when it got all mixed it up, it through the entire night off.
Just make sure you tell the person controlling the ipod to keep the playlist in the order you have, don't let anyone make changes!
As for the tipping, we ended up tipping basically $300 to the wedding coordinator for set up and tip, $160 at the reception for the waiters and such, and more. I tipped my hair / make up stylist $40. Oh, and at the salon if you have the GIVC incentive (free hair/make up) you still pay the 10% service charge out of pocket. We tipped the masseuses and we tipped Lomas travel. Edy and Felipe were awesome though.
