Wow ladies it's been so long!  Most of you probably don't remember me, my name is Marci and I'm getting married May 6.   I have not done any planning at all for the past few months and now I am only 4 months away!!!

Congrats to all the recently married ladies, you looked beautiful!

We're going to go see bridesmaid dresses this weekend, this is what I was thinking in gray...

Welcome back!  :)  I took a few months break from planning too.  I'm trying really hard to get back into it!  I think our little group got really ahead and had to just sit back and wait for a while.

nv+gms,

I don't no why he just went on on on about how they should have it in english and not spanish.  I was fine but i just let him vent.  He will get over it.  He did say he didn't want his guest to expience the greek orthodox wedding style. He is officially cut off from watching the wedding show with me lol. It was that show called 4 weddings and the brides judge each other.  Any how i will not stress about it.

Where did you get your shells from? I was just about to send in payment a few days early and low and behold another room booked!  So i guess i better wait just a few more days!

Ok that's great to know! So i was thinking of switching my bridemaid's dresses. Do you think it's too late to do that. I was thinking of doing black dresses instead of the turquoise because i feel that if the girls wear black dresses then the turquoise decorations would pop! what do you girls think? do you think people will think it's too morbid?

Don't worry too much. I was really frustrated at the start, but when it got down to crunch time (ie a month before we had to pay), the WC was great, quick with responses, always answered the phone, etc.

I think it seems to be an unwritten policy, brides who are getting close get great service, and the ones who still have time, let them wait! It frustrated the hell out of me, cause I wanted it all done and in place in September, but it didn't get finished until late December (wedding is January 24)

Well - its only a 20 min ceremony - and I hear it ends even sooner.  I have the script in English and its only one page long - come to think of it - I may include it as a handout...

My bridesmaids are in black!  I love black and chose it for the same reason you mention - it helps the other tropical colours and flowers pop!  People also say that callilillies are for funerals and its my bouquet.  I think you need to do whatever makes you happy!

However, I would not switch my bridesmaid dresses if they have already been paid for!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
