And I'd also love to hear of any great Mexico finds!  Thanks ladies.  Love this forum!

Yes - the ones on the lomas site that stand on the ground.  I don't mind the look of tall centrepieces but not sure if it would be overkill.  I'll think I will email them to determine the height - overall and vase alone.

Thats great you have a chance to go to Cancun before the wedding.  Let me know if you see any nice maracas and handmade tequila shot glasses for good prices if you happen to walk by some.   Those were two things we were probably going to pick up for the wedding while there so we can give away something local.

Where are you holding your reception?

Hopefully Plaza Zavas...although still waiting for confirmation. I'll keep my eyes open for maracas and tequila glasses. What size maracas were you thinking?

As for the tall vases, the ones I saw were almost more like large pots. Maybe we have different pictures?

I found this pic on tripadvisor:

I haven't come across many pictures of Zavaz Plaza Gazebo decorated.  Has anyone else?

Maracas - maybe a foot long or so?  I plan on attaching seating arrangements to the handles for the reception.  Examples I found on the net:

Ideally, I would prefer a touch of elegance - but i am having problems finding a pic on the net that may resemble my idea.  So either the above or something with deep blues, silver, mayan symbols - if it all exists!?  Has anyone else found great maracas?huh.gif?

Tequila glasse examples:

I've confirmed the Plaza for ours on the 26th.  It took a week and a half before I got the confirmation if that is any reassurance.

Here is a pic of the vases I would like to double as centre pieces for the reception - were they the same ones you were thinking?:

Hope you have a great bday and vacation!  I'm jealous bunny_4.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
