Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Do you girls ever use the online chat on the Lomas website to talk to your WC?  A girl on the EDR thread says its the best way for her to reach her WC.  I'm starting to get a little nervous with my WC (Gladys).  Nobody else seems to have her, and her response time is averaging about a week.  I didn't think too much of it until I saw some complaints from others when their WC took more than 24-48 hours!  She says she's swamped, but it seems like you guys are getting a better response than me.  Except for the few that have yet to even be assigned to one cry.gif

I know my wedding is still 8+ months away, but I always respond within hours (if not minutes) and hate waiting another week to get her response :(.  I hate to go to her super already, so I was hoping you guys might know more about the online chat.

Yay for the dress!!  Congrats.  I think that's one of THE most exciting parts

And big news girls,  I BOUGHT MY DRESS TODAY!  It is beautiful and I am so excited for my wedding now.  :o)

I really quite love that cake!  I love the little mini ones.  Do you know if they charge the usual price no matter what cake you order?  The price of the cake is already one of those things that I'm flabbergasted by with AS.  So I'm wary of requesting anything too elaborate.

Thanks Maggie (and all the ladies) for the suggestions on this.  I talked to my TA about it and she set me at ease a bit.  She told me that it's not really that the resort is booked up but that the majority of the basic level of room that the offer to the tour operators for the best price is pretty much gone. (She said there's only one left).  So basically, it will be more expensive for people to book from here on out.  She also said that we may need to look at different tour operators because some might be able to offer what others can't (ie. the allotment for them isn't used up etc.)

If worst comes to worst and the resort IS sold out, then we will have to try and negotiate with the hotel for those guests staying at other places.

I do think that it will be okay in the end.  I'm still a little unnerved by the fact I'll be sending out invitations and there may be problems for those guests who try and come after they receive the invite, but I can't waste the energy worrying about something unknown that I can't control - - right?!

I would just be frank with your guests and say look if you REALLY want to go book now. Good Luck!

I haven't used the online chat so I have no advice on that.  But I just wanted to set you a bit at ease.  I have Carolina and up until this month she was pretty quick (24-48hrs) to respond.  Recently she's been taking about a week as well.  She apologized in her last email and also said she's swamped and that she has a TON of brides in the next few months.  I can't help but think it might have something to do with the turn over there seems to have been with the Miami WC office and some WCs leaving.  Anyways, point being I too am 9 months out, so I figure us 'future brides' are just being put on the back burner a bit.

Not that this helps your frustration - but just so you know that others are getting the same turn around times.

That will be awesome!  I love that song, we played it at our reception.  I had all of the wedding music on 1 CD.  I had a piece of paper in the CD case that had all the songs listed like this:

1. Song:  Guests entering

2. Song:  Guests entering

3. Song:  Bridesmaids & Bride walking down aisle

4. Song: Processional

5. Song; after wedding pictures

6. Song: after wedding pictures

They are so professional at the resort - they know how to operate the music - they do it all the time.  We told them WCs about the songs and what not at the wedding meeting and they knew what to do.  I would have added up to Song 10 had I to do it again.  I am not sure how long they let you stay u[p on the Sky Deck and how many pictures you'll want to take up there, but may as well be prepared :)

Also, thanks so much for the suggestions about music. I would not have thought about music for after. So helpful. Did you have the pre wedding music, processional, recessional and milling/photo music on separate CDs? Or was the onsite WC on it? Could I put it all on one CD and make a list of what should be played when? Also, I am getting married on the Sky Deck, do you think that will make a difference for photos after?

Wow - that suits you perfectly!  I love it!!!!

Mine supposedly sold out - but when we got down there it wsa maybe 60% full....  Karisma screws themselves with all of the tour operators they use - they really do not sell out of the rooms.  Don't stress!  The resort is so big and in this economy - no one is booking vacations for next May - come on!  I would not worry about it.

No, they do not charge the usual price no matter the cake.  In fact, if you stray from their standard cake menu, the price sky rockets!  I submitted a couple cakes that were simpler than the ones on their menu and they were almost double the price.  AmyKH was able to negotiate the price of her cake but with me it was like I was talking to a brick wall.

Ok, this makes me feel a little better.  Not that I would wish bad fortune for anyone else!  :)  I'm just glad I'm not alone.

I'm ok with being on the back burner for now, as long as it gets better.

For you married brides, if you had your private event at Zocalo al Fresco, how did you decorate?  I have the tables for dinner figured out, but now I am stuck.  Kiara (love her) mentioned having a welcome table which I probably will with my invitation and a pic of us.  Did you use lanterns?  Does it need a lot of decorating?  I am just not sure what to do!

For those of you who haven't or aren't planning on using Zocalo al Fresco, any ideas are welcome too!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
