(Not ready to buy a dress cause I have a million pounds to lose, and I don't really want to buy OOT stuff yet because no clue how many people are coming....)
Lindz is right, you can do lots of googling! I'd be collecting pictures of things you want/themes and colors you like: flowers, cake, fabrics, table setups, centerpieces, guestbooks, favors, programs. I'd make an inspiration board (because you have LOTS of time!) and then you'll be ready to hit the ground running come planning time.

I know it's hard because you're ready to get this ball rolling, but try to enjoy this time. It's like the calm before the storm where you still have a life not defined by wedding planning!

The trip advisor reviews are freaking me out. Some are so bad of sensatori. I keep second guessing myself. I seems their reviews are really good or really bad. I guess you can't pay attention to that.

Anyways getting pics taken Saturday and deciding what to wear. Found a wedding dress I love. ? found BM dresses. Its a start!

Just got an email from my TA and she said they have added a few things to the wedding packages..haven't looked at it all yet...but this was the info she sent me....

Azul has updated all their wedding packages. And, they are offering even more than before for the same price. I will send you the new wedding packages for you to look at.

Here are some of the additions to the Silver package they offer for $2,500:

Changes include:

Ø Added wedding guests concierge

Ø Added an in room mannequin with cover to display wedding dress available for up to 3 days prior to wedding date

Ø Added bride's personal in room wedding attendant on wedding day - available for a total of three hours prior to the start of the ceremony. Role of personal attendant is to act as the go to person for any of the brides needs to keep her calm as well as assist her in getting dressed.

Ø Added groom's room on wedding day (10am-4pm) - a separate room so bride and groom can get ready in different areas. Room is stocked with a selection of beverages and gourmet bites.

Ø Added witnesses if needed

Ø Changed from maximum of 12 to unlimited uncovered ceremony chairs

Ø Added a post wedding day brunch reservation for wedding group

Ø Added a late check out for bride and groom

I finally had to stop reading them and just read what people were saying here....I think I'm going to be happier and less freaked that way. The brides so far (at least what I've read) had nothing but great things to say..and if you can make a bride happy...you can make pretty much anybody happysmile36.gif

Hello, I have not posted too much on here but have been reading through everything and havefound it to be really helpful, so thanks for all the great information!!

We have secured our wedding date at Azul in April but I am wondering how soon did everyone start deciding things like the reception space, food, flower, ect.? April feels pretty far off but I don't want to be behind the curve either.

Thanks!

will you also send to me? amanda_brocato@hotmail.com

my wedding is only 3 months out but i've been able to convince wc to give me things that are now offered for newly booked guests (i.e. free cocktail reception) so perhaps I can get a few more extras. :) Doesn't hurt to try, right?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
