Meghan - we are having ceremony at 430pm - 5-7pm cocktails and then reception 7-11. If you are doing the iPod, I doubt they are going to come take it away from you when the 4th hour strikes. My cocktails are $10 per person and we chose 5 appies (amy f and i have the same package). I am only having like 35 guests MAX so its $350 - and I know I want LOADS of pictures after the wedding with Mark and my guests so I really wanted the 2 hours in between to keep people occupied. That was my reasoning. Oh and the donkey. That was the selling point of the hotel - so I guess we had to have the cocktails to get Filemon the donkey. :)

Hey everyone,

I'm have been out for a bit, but was just catching up on the new posts. I officially have my wedding date set(12/10/10) and rooms blocked, and an initail "save the date" type email sent out. Now I have to get motivated to pick a site to do a wedding website....and I will go with on of my BM to try on dresses for the first time next week. It seems so far away but I am such a procrasitnator I have decided I am going to try to get as much done as early as I can. We'll see how that works.

Its great to see how much you all are getting done!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
