Nancy just emailed me and said that they do not allow any outside vendors. I emailed her back about allowing outside photographers. I am looking at Elizabeth Medina who has done many weddings at the Karisma hotels. Hopefully they will let me bring her. I am not too happy with the photographer that are considered "inside vendors"

Thanks for adding me to the list!

 

Mexican Bride with Questions - I just recently got Elizabeth Medina approved as an outside vendor for my wedding. I'm working with Fabio, but it seems like you should be able to have her approved by Nancy too. She does do a lot of weddings with Karisma properties.

 

For the girls getting married on the same day at the same time -- I know there is another bride on June 5 too, but we are not getting married at the same time. I'm surprised they would have two at the same time?

Thanks so much for letting me know that you had Elizabeth approved. Hope to hear from Nancy or Fabio soon. But hoping it won't be a problem. When you got Elizabeth approved, did you only pay the $500 fee? I read some of El Dorado Royale's Wedding (Karisma resort) thread and they were trying to charge for $75 day passes in addition to the $500 fee.

Hi! This is the deal, you pay $500 for Elizabeth to be allowed to be an outside vendor. If Elizabeth is bringing an assistant you do have to pay the $75 day pass fee for the extra person. BUT, per my contract with Elizabeth, I have to provide her a room at the resort for her and her assistant the night of the wedding. So since her assistant will technically be staying at the resort, I'm assuming the day pass fee won't apply.

Congrats and welcome, wendi and Sensatori bride!

 

Does anyone know if the amplifier $250 rental includes a microphone (or is it just a microphone connection) and whether payment of one $250 rental fee would allow you to use the equipment at a private cocktail hour (well, two hour...) as well as a private wedding reception? Thanks! I have these two questions out to Fabio, but haven't heard back yet.

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
