Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Thank you everyone for all the great information! I appriciate the help.

Im wondering more about the "vendor fee", is that somthing that everyone pays?

or just if you need a photographer and then you pay $500 PLUS the photographer fee? I do not have a photographer guest sad.gif Also, Is there a price list available for all of those extra things? Also, Whats the best time to get married there, I hear in Jan/Feb sunset is at 6? Im wondering about options. I obviously have a ton of questions for the wc. Im wondering about a semi=private dinner vs private so theres no extra fee. Also, about music/dj, is that private or no? PS, Ive been using destinationwedding.com, anyone else using them?

hey afrommert,

I don't know the answers to all your questions, but let me tell you what I do know....

The vendor fee ($500) is mainly used for bringing in a photogrpher that's not one of their 'approved' photographers. Most people use the hotels suppliers for everything else, so I'm not sure if you wanted to bring in someone else to do something else if the same rule would apply.

And don't worry - most people don't have a photographer as a guest. There are plenty listed on this site who are based in Mexico who would be able to come in for your wedding for the day (but it does attract the $500 fee - tho for most this is cheaper than flying a photographer in or paying for them to stay at the hotel!)

These are the links I was sent when my wedding date was confirmed...

(sorry, you'll have to copy and paste into your browser).

To hire a sound system - speakers - (just to use your iPod for music in the evening) is $250

I have no idea about best times to get married there - sorry!

Your reception will depend on your budget and how many guests you have - the Spoons restaurant is offered for free if you have under 40 guests. If you do this, it doesn't cost anything, but you don't have somewhere to play music or have a reception. I think you are allowed and hour and a half in the restaurant (may be flexible) and then you'd have to go to the main bar or something after. Alternatively, you can pay for guests and just purchase the most basic meal ($14pp) and then you get a venue free, giving you somewhere you can have a boogie and you're own staff to serve everyone drinks for 4 hours. The venues are not totally private in that you're outside and people can walk past, but you won't be somewhere people will just gatecrash your party!

You could hire a DJ but I'll leave that to the other girls to give you info on as we are keeping costs to a minimum and just doing an iPod jobbie!

Hope that helps a little!

Katie.

HAHA! I just found out how to do it yesterday! You just click on the scales in the bottom of your user CP, the profile.

It's so much fun! I learned how to give a gift too! This gets more and more fun as I learn new things :)

Katie pretty much already answered your question so I'll just add to it a bit:

I think the $500 vendor fee actually applies to ANY outside vendor thatâ€s not approved by the resort. Flowers, cake, photographer etc. I could be wrong but I thought this was the case. Past brides can correct me if Iâ€m wrong.

Also, if you have a photographer you are bringing with you, just have him be one of your guests. Thatâ€s what Iâ€m doing and they wonâ€t bug you for the $500 fee. Itâ€s normally $500 or 3 nights stay that they charge you and he will be there for 3 days or more so itâ€s all good.

They send you all the info for Lomaâ€s Weddings, the approved vendor once you book, Katie sent you most of that info already.

Hereâ€s something to look and see what the best times of day and month are to go and sunset times. I originally wanted my wedding this September but found out its peak hurricane season at the moment, Iâ€m so glad I changed my date as there is currently a hurricane in Cabo and itâ€s nearly a category 5… too risky!

Sunrise and Sunset for Mexico РQuintana Roo РCanc̼n Рcoming days

If you get the Silver or Gold package a 40 person dinner @ Spoon is included no charge. Itâ€s not private though and there is no DJ option or dancing area. Private dinner are a per person cost dependant on the menu and may require a minimum number of guests.

Iâ€m using destinationweddings.com as well, whoâ€s your TA? Iâ€m working with David.

Good luck :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
