Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

As my wedding day gets closer I have started to check the weather like a mad woman. Right now it's not looking good for me = ( they are showing rain 3 days leading up to the wedding and rain on my wedding day. I'm hoping it will change beings that it is 15 days out, but do any brides know of alternative ceremony locations at the resort? I never really asked, I have seen reception locations but not ceremony locations. Ugh I will be soooooo bummed if it rains the whole trip!! I'm not the type of bride who minds rain, just not every single day!
So the alternative ceremony is at the garden rooftop lounge which is cute! The reception alternative locations are just normal banquet rooms.

Also wondering...do we have to feed the photographer?

The official Bridal roll call list is being kept up to date on the official thread: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/84306/official-azul-sensatori-thread/10#post_1858611

Yes, it is usually considered polite to feed the photographer...if you are paying them to take photographs of the reception. Enquire with your WC since I have been told they have special meals for vendors which are cheaper (a sort of boxed meal).

If you just want the wedding ceremony and a couple of formal family poses an hour will be fine. But if you want any special ones, or photos of getting ready you will want to add a few hours.

We are getting married on May 3, 2014 at the Azul Sensatori... I know that I have a bride twin....Does anyone know who that might be?!?!

So excited to begin the planning of all the decor elements and start shopping for dresses.  This is so exciting and we are really overwhelmed by the amount of support from our friends and families.  Looking forward to getting lots of input and info from all of the ladies on the forum... It's been a huge help already!

Check the official thread to see who your twin is under the Bridal Roll call section: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/84306/official-azul-sensatori-thread/10#post_1858611

I am starting to get sooo excited and am hoping the weather holds out for us. I called the airline to give them a heads up about about my dress and they did not seem to know what to do. They told me my dress would be considered my carry on, not my personal item and I would only have a place to store it if the plane has a closet(which they could not tell me) and if the airline stewardesses were accommodating. I was a little annoyed by this. They even suggested I put it in a box and put it in with checked luggage!! I was appalled! Can any other bride share there plane experience with me so I know what to expect. Thanks ladies!

I have answered this on the official thread. But don't panic your dress will be fine!

If you look at the Official thread under the wedding location section there is a photo of the rooftop terrace/theatre area which is the backup location for rain weather! It's actually quite nice and has a beautiful view! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/84306/official-azul-sensatori-thread/10#post_1858611

But don't panic the weather changes constantly in Mexico! So don't stress to much, get down there and wait and see msnwink.gif

You should definitely feed the photographer... They have a vendor meal that you can ask your wedding coordinator to have for them it's a sandwich, soda, and chips I believe.

So on my plane they did not have a closet so I just looked in the overhead bins for one that had small carry ons and just layed my dress over the top of them all and it did get a little bit squished but I had a girlfriend bring her mini clothes steamer and she just steamed it before the wedding and it worked out just fine. You can also have the hotel steam and press it I believe it was around $25 to do that there

BOOKED FOR SEPT 2014

Hi everyone we have just booked our wedding  and would love any advice on extras and reception ideas. We have all never been to mexico before and scared leaving my planning to somebody else.

Its only a small wedding so instead of the 'spoons' restaurant we want to arrange something a little more special any ideas ?/ I no in the book it mentions something about a beach picnic is there any other options ideas etc.. ??

My mum wondered if there was a boat hire for the evening or something ??

We have gone for a 4 pm wedding thinking that would be a good time as we have all the morning to sort stuff out ?

I am waiting for the wedding co-oridinator to get in touch I no there is a few extras that people can get like photos make up hair and decor etcc.. (I'm guessing the prices with them will be hugggggeee !! ) any recommendations ???

Any other advice or ideas would be brilliant thank-you way in advance :) woot2.gif

Would love to hear how other Brides have gotten on and how you all made your day your own :) xxx

I'm in the process of booking our rooms - i'm curious what other people have done. My Fiance wants the top floor ocean view that we have been seeing in all the photos, but I want to make sure I have room for everyone when i'm getting ready day of.

What rooms classifications are the majority of people going with?

Congrats!! I was told by my TA to do the swim out suite since it is such a unique room that you will not be able to get any many other resorts. Depending on you package you may qualify for the bridal suite three hour prior to your wedding  near the spa where you will have an attendant and it will be more than enough room to fit you and your Bmaids. Also the cool thing about the swim up suites is that all of the guests can get them as well and it will be liek having your own private stretch of pool, that you can all hang out in.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
