Meaghan & Lindz - I seriously can't believe how huge a project they were and they aren't even printed or anything... They are going to be printed, then I am putting envelope liners in and stamps and all that fun stuff. I too was supposed to get mine out the 1st of January, I'm hoping for the 1st February :)

I really don't want to pay $1,500 for a DJ.
As far as I know, nothing has changed. You can bring a photographer but they either have to stay 3 nights or you pay the $500 outside vendor fee.

Due to mental stress I hired a DJ, having to come up with so many playlists and having someone man the iPod just makes me cringe. $1,500 for a DJ? Yikes, who quoted you that much? The DJ's that advertise on BDW are much cheaper than that. $500, $600-ish.

Tiffany sent me the packages they offer and that was the cheapest price. I didn't know it was an option to bring in a DJ. I can do $500-600 but anything more than that is out of the question!

Im having a dj. the only option they allowed "me" was their onsite dj, which I paid $1500. YIKES. totally sucks. But to me, I didnt wanna worry about the guests vibe and switching songs and not having songs that people ask for and manning an ipod, i just didnt wanna be worried about entertaining, I want to be entertained, if that makes since. There is some discrepency with Dj's tho, i was told no outside mexican dj allowed and some girls have used them and have them booked. So if there is one in particular that you want, id look into it further. I just kinda went with it since im running out of time. I will let ya know in 30days how the onsite dj works out for those wondering! wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
