Nicole, did you do your TTD the day after your wedding?

reason I'm asking is mine is the following morning and I don't know whether to try and do my hair the same or do something different? I don't know what state my hair will be in the following morning!! lol

Amy: both of the dresses are beautiful,, but the second one is my favorite. You obviously didn't feel like the first one was it so good for you for not settling!!

Advice to others: don't buy a dress everyone else loves, but the one YOU love. It's hard for some girls to do.

Glad you found one that makes you happy!!

Katie: I just looked at your wedding website and it is so nice. You did a great job, love the stories. You are very pretty!!:)

Are all guests staying 2 weeks? Nice touch having the reception so close to the actual wedding. We are waiting 4 months to have ours beacuse of the cold weather.(outside reception)

Yup, did mine the day after. Besides feeling and looking like death, there was no way I could try and fix my hair. I looked like Medusa because of all the hair spray and pins in my hair from the day before. It was not salvageable lol. I had to wash it and just went all natural for the TTD shoot. Wasn't my original plan, but that's how it worked out!

ah thanks hun :) we put quite a bit of effort into putting it together (although now it seems like ages ago! lol) there's sound on all the pages too if you didn't have speakers on when you looked!

everyone is flying out with us (same date, same flight) and then 4 family members are flying back after a week, and everyone else is on the same flight home with us! if I could re-do things I'd probably try and get people to only do the week but we had problems with hotels confirming dates and saying they couldn't confirm a wedding date until we had booked so I didn't want to risk people booking and then potentially missing the wedding date! plus it's a 10 and a half hour flight with a 6 hour time difference for us so it's a long way for only a week!

and yep, we land on the Monday morning and have our reception on the Saturday night! we wanted to have everything done asap so we could relax rather than coming back to more planning!!

Katie, I think its perfect to have your AHR right away. This way you're still in wedding mode. I am totally NOT in weddin mode anymore. My mom had talked about putting together an AHR for me (of course that, like everything else she said, didn't happen), but if she even tried now I would tell her to forget it lol. The wedding is over as far as I'm concerned!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
