Merry Christmas girls and Happy New Year! I have been taking care of my 2 week old nephew over the holidays and have not been able to do anything wedding related until today. FI and I took care of little johnny one night and FI was not too interested in the lack of sleep wink.gif haha did it so he knows just how much work these little ones are. He wanted to start trying to get pregnant after the wedding (I'm 30 and he'll be 33), but yeah its a LOT of work and no sleep!

Hope you all are well.
Fab idea!!! (about the 2 CDs...didnt even think about that!!)

Merry Xmas to you too :o)

Katieâ€s to doâ€s:
1. find invites that me AND FI agree on! (lol turns out we don't have the same taste at all!)
2. try and finish wedding 'brochure'
3. pay final payment for wedding dress
4. (this is a long-term one for Jan) go shopping with my mum for shoes, veil and tiara
ummmmm..... so I haven't done ANY of mine!! (oops!)

I have planned to do the AHR invites myself on Thursday as I'm off work and we know we need to get them done!

And the final payment for my wedding dress is happening...I'm just trying to decide where I should put the cost (as in which credit card is going to take the hit!!) thought I'd wait til a bit after xmas for that!

will be going shopping with my mum soon but atm I've got THE biggest blisters on the back of both feet after trying to walk in all the snow and ice last week, so shoe shopping is not a good idea right now. hopefully further into Jan it will be better and we'll get that 'to-do' sorted :)

bad bad Katie sad.gif

only 4 months to go (just about) and we've got to find a new area where we can move to and then find somewhere to live there, then move in and buy EVERYTHING for inside....can't help but think I'm going to be REALLY stressed over the next 3 months.

Katie - I hope you had a wonderful Christmas as well!

It's ok you didn't get anything done, it was Christmas, it's hectic time for everyone. My BD shoot is in 13 days... why oh why did I have it so close to Christmas/Thanksgiving arg.

Wow you have to move? That's a lot to do for sure, if you make a list and just break things down into what you have to do daily, weekly or bi-weekly it makes it easier, don't think of the big picture, it's too much to handle.

Hence why I started these to-do's, I can easily handle a busy week but when I think I'm planning a wedding in another country I have to breathe into a paper bag wink.gif

We're all here to help you girl! Just one step at a time... :)

How is it?
Are they pretty punctual about ending reception at 11?
What happens after reception if you are not ready for bed??
Our non-private dinner started at 5pm and ended at about 9pm. So we went to the outdoor bar of Zavaz and there was barely anyone there. We took our own ipod station and partied until it closed at midnight. Then we headed to the disco. It's small, but we had a blast! Its all what you make of it. The energy and hype you'll have on your wedding day will make everthing perfect :)

We partied until about 2am, made it to our rooms at about 2:30..... made it to bed at about 4am.

The only thing about the mojito bar.... it's not really dancing music. It's live entertainment and is super loud in there. It was way easier to just crash the disco as its never that busy, and it plays more up to date music.

Thanks Amy :) It was good but not as exciting as usual as me and FI didn't do presents this year as we felt our money would be best spent on the wedding...ah the sacrifices we make! but other than that it was good.

I'm totally gutted I'm back to work today as well :o(

yeah at the moment we are both still living at home (we had both moved out with ex's, then broke up, lost everything and moved back home) we haven't had a chance yet to save to move out and we were going to move in together this summer, but when we started planning the wedding we realised if we moved out and had to save for a wedding, we'd never get married, so we decided to use the money we would have been paying for rent as our wedding saving money instead and so we're leaving it as late as possible to move out so we can save as much as possible....except now I'm panicking! I'm sure it will all work out and be fine in the end, it's just now xmas has been and gone, I can't escape how much we've now got to get done! it didn't seem so bad before, in my head thinking 'its ok, we've got xmas and new year first'!!!!! now xmas has already gone and new years is fast approaching.....

aARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH H - I think now I'm going to be like you Amy with the panicking every time I think how soon it all is!!

but yes...one thing at a time....

and yay for Vistaprint as they've got their sale on and lots of stuff is free!! woop woop! better get going on those invites!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
