maybe I should be a Cancer too...I'm VERY sensitive and will remember what anyone says and worry about it forever! I worry what people will think, how they will interpret something (and then worry if they'll interpret it in the right way!)....just anything and everything you could think of! planning a wedding is a nightmare!

made worse by the fact I'm useless at making a decision!! apart from at work, where strangely i am quite assertive - go figure. lol

why are you thinking of changing resort again? has something gone wrong where you are, or you've just seen something you like the look of better??

come to my resort!!! lol
nooo I absolutely LOVE my resort. The wedding coordinator is awesome too (literally responds in 5 minutes), but it is SUPER expensive for my guests. Probably $150 more per night per couple. I am trying to decide if it is worth it or not. They say it's "fine," but once again, the worrying begins!

Happy Thursday girls!!

Man am I a sensitive sap! I try and hide it constantly too, some people will never know :) I can't decide for the life of me either, what if there is something else better? Then when I see it and it's too late, I'll regret it?! Picking out a dress was awful... I think 10 bridal salon's later I finally found it.

Oh and it took me like 3 months to write my invites! Man that was a process... task I'm most regretting you ask? Writing the ceremony... having stage fright, being so emotional I know it's just going to be a mess... oh man

Lindz! You've been getting stuff done, that's awesome!! I want to check out your new resort as well, I'm sure it will be great no matter where you are :)

wow, i have a lot of catching up to do.... just read 4 pages and im soo behind...

Amy(kitten), Im sorry for your loss, even a 10year mark is hard, especailly when planning your big day. huggs

Amyb, love your new logo lol! how funnnn!!!

KATIEEEEEEE- I cant believe your friend did that to you. that totally sucks and I so agree with nicole, wedding bring out the craziness in ppl. Im sorry that happen and i hope you two are able to patch things up. I truely belive that everything happens for a reason. Meaning , maybe this is a blessing is diguise. Maybe this is opening a door for you both to face some underlieing problem, fix them up and make your friendship stronger and better than ever and in the end, things will not just be ok, they may be better than ever :) either way, ill be praying for a happy ending for you whatever it may be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Lindz- change resort? hmmmm.... I had a hard time choosing a resort that was affordable to my guest. It was important to us to have our closest friends and family there. And we knew because some of our friends are having hard times with money, that anything more would not make the trip affordable for them and we wanted them there bad enough we found somthing in the middle. But, no matter what, i feel like when planning a wedding, we cant please everyone. and no matter what we do or where we get married, even if it were at home at a local church, someone will have somthing to say about somthing.. We cant make EVERYONE happy and youve got to follow your heart.(*how chessy lol) and think about what your priorities are. We are approx 60days away from our day, and stillllll have ppl saying they are coming, but have not booked their trip and i heard a comment last week, my friends mother is joing us and she said " you just had to pick the most expensive resort didnt you" and was laughing... I thought that was so inappropriate of her to say to me. ESPecailly because AS is NOT the most expensive. ANd my dad makes a point to remind me about how alot of our family& friends have lost jobs and are hurting and dont have the money to book a mexico trip right before Christmas. THANKS DAD :)

So I understand..... and we too had a hard time but feel like we really did take our guest into concideration.... Do you plan on having a big wedding??

OH and BTW i wanna be facebook buddys with you girls!!! Add me! amy morales, detroit michigan! :)

OH and BTW again, we have lots of snowwww here, and I cant wait for sunny hot MEXICO

Yup you're absolutely right! YOU WILL NEVER MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY! And the comment your dad made.... whatever lol. Of the 7 people that did come to our wedding, they were in the WORST financial positions of all the people invited. For those that choose not to come, you won't miss them, I promise :)

It's nice to consider your guests and what will make them happy, but the wedding is all about you! It is hard with DWs and costs, but nobody HAS to go. And AmyF, what your friends mom said it so nuts! AS is totally reasonable when you add up everything you get for the $.

I got the ceremony programs from Tiffany yesterday. If you are getting married legally in Mexico, she said the template/wording cannot be changed.

AmyKittenHeart, this looks short and sweet for you :)

Tiffany said the symbolic ceremony can be changed any way you want it.

Also, BTW I became an aunt this morning at 1:10am!!!!!!!smile29.gif

Little Johnny better get his passport so he can come to my wedding

Happy Thursday ladies.

Katie - I hope you are doing well and staying positive with your friend situation. It really suck that she would do this so close to the wedding. Everything does happen for a reason, its just hard to figure out what that reason is sometimes. My original MOH and I broke up in May. I say break up because we were friends for 12 years now we don't talk at all. We became a one-sided friendship and when I confronted her about it, she told me I was selfish for bring it up. It was so hard to say but I know it was the right decision for me and making my wedding a success. Hang in there girlie!! Plus you have a great group of awesome ladies here to vent to and are on your side.

Amy KH - Really you are so cute and you are totally a Cancer. Every Cancer I know is super high energy and a little it OCD. I wish I could be more like that. I'm an Aquarius and don't get hyped up about anything. My fiance hates this passionately. Even when he proposed I said, "Ok!" and not yes. I will never live it down. :-)

Amy M: Looking forward to catching up via email with you. I am trying to get specific details on dress code, etc for the resort so we plug that info into pre-travel booklet for your guest. As you know sometimes you do have to ask more than once. bunny_4.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
