I've seen this thread... I THINK, it's where anyone using a starfish theme that has already been a bride passes their starfish onto B2B's for their wedding and it keeps going. Once that B2B get's married she then passes it along to another future Mrs. I think it's a super adorable idea :)

I would totally be doing it if my wedding were at all beach themed because I LOVE starfish... I decided to be weird and do the total opposite of beach themed :) Vintage inspired tree's and birds :) bunny_4.gif

glad you're ok about it tho - bizarre as you say they both happened on our 5 month mark! must be something in the water lol

thanks to everyone else as well for all your advice and support. I'm feeling more emotional about it today, but also reflective as the anger and shock is wearing off.

I don't want to lose her as a friend, so if it's just that she can't come to mexico that's fine - annoying, but we'll deal with it and we've got to be understanding about it...we're asking people to pay a lot of money to come. it's just the rest of the stuff that was in the text that we need to work out (if she wants to work it out). we'll see what happens next!
Yeah your situation is ENTIRELY different than mine and I'm sad to hear that it's affecting you more today. A heart to heart with her in person is needed, just be understanding to the financial burden and tell her how you feel and you don't want to lose her as a friend.

I hope it all works out for the best hun! XOXO

AmyBermuda - LOL!! OMG, my FI is a Libra (so I ABSOLUTELY love them) and his common response to most wedding option questions is normally, "I don't know", "whatever you want baby" or "sure" to multiple choice options.

So trust me, I understand! I'm a Cancer so I'm very picky and specific, planner and a worrier - total opposite, he keeps me from going nutty!

Curious Amy, what's your FI's sign?

That's so funny!!! Yeah I prefer to have other people make decisions for me. I love love love love having a destination wedding where the wedding cake options were just chocolate or vanilla.

My FI is a Gemini. Also an air sign. He fits it perfectly. Talkative, goes with the flow but can change his mind on a whim, and never follows through. haha

I guess Virgo and Cancer are similar signs then Amy & Katie!

Thats kinda nice, Amy, that your FI has someone to make the decisions. Mine is as wishy washy & "whatever" as me!

I'm a cancer too! I have been driving my fiance nuts about the whole wedding. He was super excited when I found this forum so I would quit hassling him about every little detail :) I can't help it--I'm a planner and major worrier, teehee.

Yeah, I thought the starfish idea was really cute, but I think it would stress me out trying to make sure I got the starfish mailed back in time, etc. Just curious if anyone had any experience with it.

Katie - my Maid of Honor is a Virgo, very smart and very popular, my dad was a Virgo too, I really love them!

Renee - How funny! Lindsay (TheFutureMrsLutz) is also a Cancer :) Whenever I get overly stressed, I try and remind myself that I worry too much and I'm probably just over-worrying once again. I'm big into details which are difficult and a MAJOR planner, I've been planning my wedding for nearly 2 years (in February it will be)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
