What did your wedding group do nights before your wedding and night of your wedding?
We actually drank ourselves to death a few times during the day so not everyone made it out at night lol!! We usually would go to the Mojito Bar, or when we weren't liking that we'd hang out outside my swim up suite that had the wave bar right across from it for easy drink access.

The night of the wedding we went to the zavaz bar after dinner. There was barely anyone there so we claimed a corner and plugged in our ipod with our own ipod docking station lol. We partied there until it closed at midnight and then we moved to the teen bar that turns into an adult bar at 11pm. We stayed there until it closed and by then we were dead tired lol. I had no idea what we were going to do when we left from dinner. I figured we'd just wing the whole thing and it worked out lol.

Wow Amy! check you out!! well done for getting all that done! must have crossed a few things off your list now!?

But what's your secrethuh.gif How do you seriously find time to get everthing done??!! I know you work....and work out...and plan wedding stuff, and make wedding stuff and still go out and have a life!! I am in total awe of you!!

I didnt have a list of things to get done, but I have sorted out a DJ for our AHR, made an appointment with the banqueting manager to talk food options for our AHR, booked and paid tthe deposit for our photographer for Mexico and managed to sort out photos for the AHR - my little brother who'd just recently started to talk a real interest in photography and his work so far has been amazing so that's all really good! oooo that sounds quite a lot when you list it all out like that!

also done a 'save the date' event invitation on facebook for our AHR so that at least people know the date and location whilst we still finalise the details needed before we can send out invites.

phew!

oh, and sadly, after running 3 times a week for the past 2 weeks I am now ill sick.gif nothing major, just woke up this morning with a head cold which means i can't breath properly so can't even try to battle through it for a run sad.gif gutted coz i dont want to have anything as an excuse for not carrying on with it. I may just go for a walk round my running route tomorrow, that way, still burning off the calories. we'll see what tomorrow brings!

We got bridesmaids dresses ON SALE at Macys this weekend. I let the girls pick the dress the dress, I picked the color! THey are all wearing Dark gray strapless dress with hot pink shoes! they still have to find shoes tho, again, I just picked the color..
They are all gonna look hottt :) they all loved the dress and they better since they picked them out :), happy bridesmaids=HAPPY BRIDE!
I just picked up a 4 pack of redbull today lol, im a hunters widow right now so I thought id get alot of stuff done today and tmrw.
Ive been seaching for a hair stylist and make up artist in RM area that will just come to my room and work for us girls the day of... This forum had a few suggestion on the vendor page, but Im still not sold on any of them. I heard that they ppl at our resort that work in the spa are freelance employees. Im not excatly sure what that means, but my thing is if IM gonna pay those outragous spa prices for hair and make-up id hope these ppl have certfiicates and degrees in cosmotology ya know....
Also, Ive been playing around with seating chart for ceremony. Id like to do somthing different... unique? i dont know, maybe a horseshoe type seating? somthing roundish VS square? Any ideas ladies?
hey Amy. love the idea you had about the bridesmaids dresses, shoes and colours...and I think the grey (sorry, gray for you lot! lol) dresses with hot pink shoes is going to look amazing!!

oh, and since i've booked the wedding, I have become addicted to redbull!!

for your ceremony seating, for something different, you could make it a circle with you and your FI standing in the middle so everyone's close to you? you could have 2 rows of seats and the inner circle is for your BMs, best men/ushers and parents? just another idea to play with!

Katie - my house looks like a tornado hit it with all the miscellaneous stuff I've been buying.

Fortunately for me, I work @ 6:30am - 3:30pm so I have a little daylight and daytime to workout, get wedding stuff done and see friends. It's exhausting but I'm making it happen!

Allllsoooo I do 90% of my shopping online, so it's faster and easier for me, I always find coupons for free shipping and discounts online so it really works out. I'm on the internet all day long researching and whatnot :) Etsy is my best friend and I have my friends that are interested in my wedding and helping me out and so I'm really a lucky girl.

My MOH and I have been trying to be event planners for years so we get together and go off on ideas and just love this stuff, makes it a lot easier.

I'm telling you ladies, Etsy... ridiculous how awesome Etsy is!

Thank you sooo much! I got a dark gray/sparkly piece of paper for the scroll. I wrote a sweet, personalized message on each of their scrolls. I was going to do a poem like you guys suggested, but decided just to write a sweet note. I think they really liked it!!

Last night I finished writing everything for my Passport invites... it's hard because it's 4 pages of text! I'll have to go through it a few times more to make sure it all makes sense.

I also went to Banana Republic on Sunday and got FI's wedding outfit pants. As a memeber I received a coupon for 30% off everything so I got a good deal :)

I also finalized my guest book with the Etsy seller and should get that today.

I received my travel candles & my BD lingerie yesterday as well as some of my placecard ideas. I received my gift I purchased for the friend who threw me my lingerie shower that I have to put together still.

I think that's it! I hope you all are doing great bunny_4.gif
That's awesome! SOOO proud of you wink.gif. Well, I got my bridemaid thingys all mailed out, and I have almost finished my SAve the Date. AND I think I have decided against a travel agent. They are just making me soooo mad. hmmm what else am I leaving off? Such a hectic...so glad it's basically Wednesday!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
