Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I'm super excited today... it's one year exactly until our big day!

For anyone that did Passport invites.. did you make them yourself? I'm really torn on making my own or ordering them. I'm just not sure how much work will really be involved... help!

I made boarding pass save the dates and sent them out exactly one year before my wedding. I gave myself a couple of months to make them and it took me that long (designing, tweaking, cutting, gluing, adding, etc.) Let me tell you that it was a lot of work, a lot more than I anticipated. If you have the time and resource and patience then go for it.

After doing my save the dates from scratch I was in no way shape or form mentally able to do my Passport Invites by myself. I gladly hired someone that is doing them that actually worked out financially to be cheaper than me buying the supplies and time so that sold my FI.

LOL, after our STD's were done we both had burns and cuts on my hands for a week! We promptly showed them to people when they didn't believe we could have done that on our own shots.gif

Wow - loads of new people today! Welcome everyone!

Sounds great Nicole - wow til 4am - that is a wedding done RIGHT :)

My advice is to keep working and reworking what you want until everything FEELS right. A couple months ago I was really down b/c the costs kept going up and up and nothing I did or requested seemed to be exactly what I wanted but I got creative and changed some things for the wedding (sit down meal and added a 4th salad course instead of BBQ buffet) and let go of other things and now I am happy as a clam!

Also, take all Trip Advisor posts with a grain of salt. There were some huge creeps that wanted their money back and kept posting awful reviews until their trip provider refunded some of their $$. So, I would listen more to past brides on this site - and they are all so positive. Of course there will be the occasional hiccup, but that's going to happen anywhere.

I did not do Passport invites b/c they looked soooo involved with the stamps and pictures. I made Boarding Pass Invites - I loved them but Amy is right - they took forever. But everyone I sent them to thought they were so clever- which made the 2 days of hell worth it :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
