I just returned from my wedding on Sunday. I honestly felt that the spa prices were ridiculous. I had my makeup artist friend show me how to do my make up and I did my own. To save a bit of cash I also got my acrylic nails done at home the day before I left, which held up well btw!

Congrats and welcome back. I am so excited you had a great time at the resort and that the wedding was perfect even with it raining. I know we are all interested in all of the details of the week. How your nails held up? How did your make up go? Did you get your hair done there? How was the spa? Ok, I am getting ahead of my self. I am not doing a private dinner either so I really am interested in that whole experience. I might PM you and get your thoughts.

So happy for you to be a Mrs. !!
Nails held up well surprisingly! I did my own makeup but I don't have ANY pics of my wedding day! I'm waiting for my friends to post some so I can see how it looked. I will say that it lasted all day and all the way to 4am, even through tears! I did get my hair done there. I didn't end up doind my hair the way I wanted it because it was sooo windy, so I had it all up, but their ladies did a good job of everyone's hair. With the money IMO.

PM me for sure! I'd be glad to help! Hopefully I can get my official review done soon...

I'm not using the one at the resort, luckily for me I have a bridesmaid who is a makeup artist AND a guest. My hairstylist is also coming to my wedding as a guest and said she'd do my hair.

I'm set for the hair because my hairstylist is my MOH (lucky for me) but I'm really stuck on the make up. I know there's a MAC store in Cancun and Playa del Carmen but I don't know if I want to go there to get it done or if it's even possible to have someone come to the resort to do the make up for the entire wedding party.

I just wanted to give you a short update on the wedding. I'll do a detailed review after I write to my TA and Karisma.

My wedding day was amazing. I loved it! There were quite a few bumps along the way, but thankfully my photogs were a huge help in sorting that out. It was raining the day of the wedding (off and on) so we couldn't have it on the beach. The WC was inisisting that we have it in a freakin hallway of one of the buildings..... luckily my photogs found a better spot and fought them to the bitter end on it. We won :)

I didn't do a private reception but my dinner was amazing. I was impressed the MOST about the dinner. Because we were such a small group they allowed us to have it at the Siena rather than Spoons. It was amazing!

Honestly, the resort is beautiful..... I had an amazing time with my friends and family. I'll try to get on my review ASAP, I'm just swamped with work right now sad.gif. Reality sucks after being waited on all week lol!!
Welcome back!!!! so glad you had an amazing time :) can't wait for all your views on it and your pics!!!

congratulations mrs!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
