I had a small meltdown last night when I started packing, then turned on the news to the Hurrican Ida update...

thefuturemrslutz--that is a great idea!! I'm thinking about doing the message in a bottle as my STD's/invites. Are you making them on the own? I've been researching I know I can make them on my own a lot cheaper than buying them. My only problem is the message in side? Not sure if i should figure out how to print it on nice paper, or just order that part.

You guys all had such cute ideas for asking your bridal party! I love it :) I'm making up for my lameness by giving them awesome gifts, buying them off? wink.gif

Katie!!!!! Don't freak me out!!! 6 months to go!!!

I got something done this weekend so I feel good about 6 months to go. I scheduled by BD shoot, just under 3 months away, great incentive to keep up my strenuous workout! Scheduled my hair appt with my hairdresser and inquired to a makeup artist who does airbrushing makeup. Also, ordered some more lingerie outfits and looked at shoes :) My photog told me to send him some inspiration photos of the style I'm looking for.

I also went downtown to the flower district with a friend and got some items for my placecard tree. The tough part is getting it down there, arg! May be well worth it though because it's gonna look awesome.

Changed up our ceremony/first dance music, liking it a little better but still have some changes to make.

I downloaded a bunch of pictures yesterday to make an inspiration board for wedding, hair and BD.

I booked FI & my flights on Friday and am waiting for pricing from our TA for our honeymoon resort.

Finishing up my invite wording this week so I can send off the info to have them started to be created.

Still so much to do!!!

Girls I had my bridal shower this weekend. It was fun but really overwhelming too. Honestly, I am relieved its over. I don't like being put on the spot and all my friends told me I looked really nervous and stressed. Thank goodness for a few glasses of wine after with the girls. All and all we got a lot of fun stuff. Now just need to find places to pul all of it.

Andrea, your funny! Hope you made out like a bandit at your shower.

Amy, awesome about the BD shoot. What is your place card tree? Did you already post about it?

This weekend Mark came to visit so I really did close to nothing for the wedding - except I finished my "Thanks for booking" Mexico brochure. I'll see if I can attach it. I love it! I used Microsoft Publisher. He took 10 and is mailing them out to the US attendants. I am mailing the Bermuda people from here.

Next I am looking into designing a "whos who in mexico" book for my welcome bags. I want to have an intro into each person in attendance, fun facts, and cute pix so everyone "knows" everyone there. I saw it on someone's planning thread and thought it was so cute!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
