I can't get away from restaurants (work related) but I can try to do be more diligent about not eating so much.

 

Thanks so much - I'll let you know how I do. I am taking weight, BF%, and measurements every Monday morning. I have them in a book I kept 7 years ago when I weighed 124 pounds and was 21% body fat. That is my inspiration!

I sent out a "thanks for booking don't forget your passport" postcard I created on VistaPrint as well as a "Thanks for RSVPing, please book!" postcard

Or have two showers!! Inform the other each person that the other is planning one as well, maybe your FMIL can do more of a family based shower and MOH can do the friend shower OR you can choose who you prefer throw you a shower and tell the other person that (fill in the blank) is already throwing you a shower.

I don't see TWO parties instead of one an issue hun, people love you!

Amy/Afrommert - I bet you can tell your maid of honor that she is a control freak, right? But you probably cannot tell your mother in law... So I would tell your maid of honor that you really want them to work together but that there might be a personality clash. You could also warn your mother in law that your maid of honor can be somewhat of a control freak but that she means well and just wants to make your day so special, blah blah blah.

 

I am sure they will play nicely for you if you bring it up to them individually.

 

Plus there is so much to do for a shower that they should have their hands full. Decorations, location, food, drinks, games. Thats really a lot for just one person to do!
