Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

The room rates I am getting are less expensive than the website rates. They are about $100 more a night for a Jr. Suite with a jacuzzi. But some rooms are less expensive than Sensatori, it just depends. In terms of room finishings though, there is no comparison. The 1 bedroom suites are awesome, about double the size of a premium room at Sensatori.

All in all the wedding will be about even in terms of price. I am having 2 cocktail receptions, 5 course dinner (grilled lobster, lamb, and chicken), custom cake, bar, etc. and it is included in the room prices. My 4 hour photo package is like $800.

What I can't say enough about was the service. For 4 months I have been told No to virtually everything I asked for, and had to argue to get the answer to be "yes" in some cases. Everything I asked for was a quick "yes", "sure", we can do anything you want, oh there is no cost for that. It was refreshing.

The resort is small and quiet, very authentic Mexico. There was no fighting for beach beds or chairs, no waiting for dinner, no buffet's at lunch and dinner, real premium alcohol, like Grey Goose Vodka, top of the line espresso machines, awesome room service. The list just went on and on. About the only thing I will complain about was mosquitos.

I feel a little nuts for doing this with like 8 weeks to go, but it is totally easy and worth it so far. The resort gave us a 4 night stay for the price of 2 nights and reduced that rate to $300 a night. Going down for a long weekend and getting this done was probably the best $1,000 I've spent in a long time.

Soon-to-be-weds and Already-weds,

Does anyone have the ceremony order/template for legal weddings at the hotel? I'm trying to get the order to my printer and I'm not quite sure how to draft the program based upon what my WC sent me (the judge script).

Anyone have other information?

Ladies!! We're heeeeerrrreee! It's technically Thursday morning right now and we are in the room. We upgraded to a premium room and got a private concierge check-in. We arrived on Tuesday and most guests arrived Wednesday. Welcome reception in Spoon was just OK. Food took awhile and it wasn't fantastic. Drinks were flowing though, and I think that kept our guests happy. The servers didn't really even think about the whole "you are the bride and groom so we'll make sure you get your food first" thing either. On-site coordinators are super nice. Everyone here is super nice! One bad thing - we feel like most people are expecting a tip for EVERYTHING! Gratuities are included but we are tipping too. IDK if our friends are...

More to come!

here are some of the photos that claudia sent me. I have no idea what they are of specifically other than the pool side and the roof top, because they aren't named very well, but here ya go. Sorry for the delay, I've been swamped and I had to fiddle with them a little to extract them from the zip file and recopy them into a separate folder. Long story, but here they are.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
