Just more menu and equipment rental stuff. I am spending over $10k on a ceremony and reception for less than 30 people at an all inclusive resort and can't even get the things that I want.

I am talking to the people at Hacienda Tres Rios. The TA ratings have been awesome the last few weeks, like all 4s and 5s. Food seems great, rooms are nicer and room rates are the same. If I can work out the reception details I am moving it. Nothing like the last minute, but I just don't feel like Sensatori wants the $10k for the reception and the $20k in rooms we are spending. Maybe I will wake up and feel differently tomorrow but unless they really want to step up the service and flexibility I just can't take it anymore.

Random question... do any of you girls have your cake decided on as of yet? I have this fear of giving them an inspiration picture that they just butcher.

I got really freaked out today for the first time in awhile, my WC sent me my menu options for our honeymoon dinner on the beach and our breakfast in bed options and I think it really hit me for the first time that I'm really getting married.

My Lingerie Bridal Shower is on Saturday as well and people keep asking me if I'm excited and I just don't even feel like any of this is real, it kinda sunk in today and I'm short of breathe...

I hope this is semi-normal :)

Nicole - Not sure if every day is the same, but we were told they will have three salon hairdressers available at a time and that Hair Style Combo appointments (for bridesmades) will be 1 hour while the Bridal Hairstyle appointment (for bride) will be 1 1/2 hours (note, there is also a Bridal Suite, which the bride may be able to use and they have an additional stylist available for this -- so, with the Bridal Suite, you may be able to do 4 appointments at one time). The salon opens at 9am. Hope this helps!

Hi there,

I am doing a 3 tiered cake with blue flowers on it in Hazelnut and chocolate. I sent my wc a picture of the cake and I had to sign a release form b/c of the use of real flowers.

I'm sad to see so many people having problems with the hotel. I'm definitely spending more than I'd hoped, but at this point, I'm trying to take care of all the other loose ends and still like the look of the hotel and what I hope my guests will get in service.

I'm with you though, I had my first shower last month and I have a local one next weekend. People keep asking me if I'm excited and "ready", and truthfully, I think I'm just waiting to start freaking out or something.

My ceremony is at 4pm too and I'm starting at 9am! I'm doing hair from 9 to 10:30 and makeup application from 10:30 until 12pm (also 1 1/2 hour appointment). Then we're doing pics from 12:30 until 3pm, with an hour to freshen up in between. Gonna be a busy day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
