Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

MrsVaughn, It doesn't seem like you are alone with the family issues. I have definitely had complaints from family members criticizing our choice for a destination wedding. Luckily my parents have been great (separated) and my inlaws (divorced) have been okay. My FFIL was not going to come for the whole week (only a few days...and he has TONS of money) but we kept telling him how upset we would be if he didnt come for the whole week and he finally ended up booking. My FMIL probably isn't coming (who knows why...maybe money?) Anyway, I was kind of upset about it in the beginning, but as long as you and your Fiance have each other, that is what is important.

Katie, your dress is absolutely gorgeous and you look fantastic in it :)

AshManahan, That is absolutely insane about the napkins!! I thought that by paying for a private event, that is mostly for a set up charge, and I thought that would include getting napkins!! Do you get no napkins at all? or just not special napkins.... You could probably buy cloth napkins at home for a good deal....OR go to the dollar store and get pretty coloured paper napkins. I might consider doing that.

The beach itself is actually fine for a few hours a couple of times a day after they plow it with the tractor. Then the seaweed washes back up. I don't suspect they will do anything much with the rocks. The area is great for snorkel and scuba, just not wading in the water.

If you want the best beach, check out the El Dorado Maroma--WOW best beach ever! The resort is awesome and quiet, and the food was also great. Great beach area for weddings---they just don't take kids.

What?! My WC told me that napkins and linens came with my package or private event!!! I'm gonna ask her again.

Oh and the brides bouquet that comes with package is a $50 bouquet, the one I liked was $300 and they won't even knock the $50 off to upgrade. So annoying...

Sorry, this turned into a rant =/

Thanks for the positive reviews for my OOT bag items. i probably over did it -but it was fun!

I also forgot to mention the ai rfreshners in the shape of dolphins -tee hee! I thought that was a super cute touch!

My dress is finished too! I picked it up today. My FH is threatening to peek though...bad bad fiance.... Are all your grooms like that too?!

Plain white napkins are no charge, same with white table clothes. We are paying the extra $30 per table for the table clothes because I wanted black.... otherwise they would have been included in my package (silver).

KittenHeart, my bouquet is more expensive too, but my $50 went towards the two boutinieres -for my FH and his BM. You should check on that. It wasn't a problem for us to do that at all.

I'm a bit bummed about the beach too.... we are all ocean dwellers (why we didn't get married in Cabo) I guess water socks/shoes will be the order of the day!

omg they don't even let you put the money towards another onehuh.gif that's ridiculous.

we're just looking at options and whether it works out financially better off for us to downgrade our package from gold to silver - part of the gold package is that we get a photographer for an hour and a half, wedding album and 36 photos. BUT they can't even tell me how much of our money goes towards paying that so they can't tell me how much extra i'd need to pay to get more hours of photography etc.

really is a joke.

but hey ho! just keep smiling!! :) :) :)

lol

Katie.

wow! congrats on the dress :) I'd be wanting to peek at it and put it on all the time!! I reckon when I get mine, I'll keep it at one of my parents' houses instead - but that's more for my own good rather than FI peeking!!

tho tbh - if i was him and your dress was there, I'd want to peek too!!!

The good thing is that no matter what he sees of it beforehand, it still won't give him a clue how its going to look on you on the day :)

but yes, mine would be exactly the same!!

Katie.

Allisa--tell us about thes dolphin shaped air freshners, is it spray or what? Where did you get them?

I wasn't being so nice yesterday and went back to Tiffany and said, if I buy my own colored napkins for $1 and bring them down, let me guess you will still charge me the $50 set up fee to have someone put them out even though you would do it for free with the regular white napkins....no response.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
