Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

hi ladies

just thought ii would let you all know, as you were all kind in sending me info. Myself and h2b have decided to change our wedding venue, we are no longer getting married a the sensatori hotel due to problems we have/are experiencing there. We are now going to the iberostar paraiso Maya on the 22 may 2010.

I wish all of you getting married at the sensatori good luck and i hope you have a wonderful day.

I just realized that you girls are not including your flights in your quotes, but I was including my flight...thats why my $1499 seemed so much more expensive! I definitely got a deal with The Wedding Holiday, and they deal with people in the States too. If anyone hasn't settled on a TA yet, you should check them out. They are super friendly and helpful

Our quote was $2125 for 7 nights all tranfers and taxes included and in Canadian funds. I spoke with my Ta about the price difference and all I got back was "obviously the prices are lower now, they are doing the room sell off because it is last minute flights..." Wow, I sure love my TA/WC at Luxe, they sure give good service for their $2100 fee over and above the hotel... Gee I would sure recomend them in the future -NOT!!!!

I think I will try and barter some massages for my guests, that sounds like a great idea!!!

Is that with your flight? That is crazy that they charge a fee of $2100!! Did you ever check out The Wedding Holiday? The don't charge anything and get lower rates.

Yeah... that was just their fee. At the time we thought they would be able to produce more hotel options, more off the beaten path, smaller more exclusive yada yada yada... and I have a hearing, um, impairment, I guess you'd say, so talking directly with the wedding coordinators on site could have been an issue for me. I have a hard time on the phone if I can't do a little lip reading and accents make it worse. When we initially looked into TAs around here, it seemed like they would do all the travel, but I would still need to communicate with the onsite WCs for everything, and that was a factor in our decision.

Of course, had I found BWD first, things would have been a whole lot different!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
