I'm using Moments that Matter photography. They are members of the forum and I started a thread in the vendor section. Feel free to check it out. Good luck!

I am using Chris Schmitt Photography - Chris Schmitt Photographers-Destination Wedding Photography

A friend of mine who got married last year used him and loved him and showed me her albums and everything. I got a decent deal, he's traveling for free and doing an engagement shoot, trash the dress and an extra free hour on my wedding day :)

hi katie 2010

We fly from bristol on 8th. Our wedding is 14th May, getting excited now...

Who are you using for your photos !!

We looked at claudiaphoto.com and really liked her worked so we tried to engage her services but were told us she is no longer allowed to work on the azul hotel site.

We then looked at elizabeath medina who has excellent work, unfortunatley she proved to be too expensive for us.

At the moment we have enquired about the services of Cecilia Dumas, but are awaiting a reply from the hotel.

How are your plans going !!!

Hi
Out of intrest when did you book Claudia Rodriguez, we tried to book her for our wedding on 14th May 2010 and were told she is not allowed to work at the azul sites anymore... Its a real shame as she was our first choice.

Hi Sam!

Ah brilliant - you'll arrive when I'm married!! (god that sounds weird lol)

hmmm photos, you will soon discover on here, are a topic of hot conversation!! no-one can find out why Claudio is not on the approved list anymore but everyone is gutted. I have just emailed Tiffany (my WC) and asked her to provide me with a list of their approved photographers so I don't build my hopes up looking at lots of lovely photos by people we can't have!

did you go for the silver or gold package? we went for the gold as we thought it would work out cheaper because of the blood tests and photographer but if we don't like who's approved it could work out stupidly expensive if we have to pay the gold package and then the photographer on top!!

Cecilia Dumas has been spoken very highly of in another thread on this site - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t35088 so take a look at that, but I have no idea if they are approved at the moment or not!!

plans are going slowly! as soon as I do something another 10 things I need to do seem to appear! I am dress shopping on Saturday (and hopefully buying), we've just put down a deposit for our reception when we come back to the UK, we're getting married on the Sky Deck so that bit of the wedding is sorted, and everyone (pretty much) is booked to come! but that's about it!!

how are your plans going??

Katie.

We are using Hawes Photography. We got a great deal and they have been really willing to work with us. We are paying for their air and travel, but we have them at our disposal at any time at the resort. Also included in the price is our engagement session, and our religious blessing and reception on March 6th back home. Over all the price wasn't much more than a full day for a wedding at home.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
