Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Ash - I didn't realize the dress would be so hard for me, I love shopping, love clothes, learning how to make them even yet I had the hardest time. Oh and I went WAAAY over budget. :)

I think maybe more negotiating is done at the resort with the onsite wedding coordinators... as scary as that sounds that's one thing that all past AS brides have mentioned everything gets sorted out with WC @ AS.

That might be a good idea for you to plan on that Allisa with your small group.

By the way Zocollo Terrace has gone from, no limit to 40, to 50 and now is back down to 40 :)

Also anyone being forced to get the Silver package (I am since my ceremony is on the sky deck) I asked them to make my 40 person dinner at Spoons the following morning for a farewell breakfast and moved my breakfast in bed to the following morning.

I'm also going to have them upgrade my cake for a small fee to a square 2 tier.

Pictures of my dress coming soon, doesn't look great because it's the sample and it was way too big for me :)

Ok here are some, not great because the dress doesn't fit yet but you get the idea. It's off white, super light, not hot at all and so comfortable, when the tail (peacock) is bustled up it looks amazing! (That's not the shoe I got BTW, the sales lady was just clowning around, we were having a great time... mutiple people were taking pix so that's why we aren't looking at one camera!)

It's a Matthew Christopher - Lalique

Katken, thanks for the info! It's weird that Tiffany originally said to choose one color (and didn't include any more info), but maybe she'll include some of these details when she writes back. Did the cost of the ceremony include that pretty vase with your initials? Thanks!

The sand ceremony vases are not included. You can buy them from the onsite coordinators but I don't know what those ones look like. I didn't even ask since I brought my own.

I bought them at Say Anything Wedding Signature Plates, Platters, Frames and Sparklers I also ordered my guest book platter there too.

With my BM's messages on it to start it out.

Just a heads up...we were not able to negotiate any pricing. Although you are able to finalize everything with the onsite team, they do not budge on pricing. We tried. Also, you have to have most everything paid for by the time you go down. Any extras can be added and paid at the hotel (like the sand for the sand ceremony, extra charges for set-up, etc.) but my big expenses had to be paid in full before we left. I think the contract says 30 days out and we paid about 7 days out from when we arrived, but there was also the massive swine flu craziness so my numbers kept changing and Fabio was cool about me pushing back payment until I could get a for sure head count.

Kitten--Love the dress, the bottom design is fab!

I consider myself a pro shopper and can't believe how hard this has been. So, I have limited myself to 5 designers Roberto Cavalli and Alice Temperly are my favorite two. I'm going to buy an off the rack, more Oscars type white dress. I'm praying this pans out otherwise, potato sack here I comeshitfan.gif

Someone asked about a website, here is my link. Stephen & Ashley - wedding website by mywedding.com

I am very light on pictures compared to others websites that I have seen. I found this site to be easy to create and monitor.

Here's my latest from Tiffany, basically I told her I was sorry and wasn't trying to beat her up about pricing, but found it odd that Lomas would prefer to lose $13k of ceremony and reception business than to negotiate and be reasonable. She decided to contact her person at Lomas and see what could be done, so we shall see. Typically it takes Lomas about 2 weeks to respond though.

They have asked for my room payments 60 days out and everything else 45 days.

Hey Ashley, we leave at 10:30pm on the 5th of September... its a red eye flight, but we get in at 8:30 in the morning!!!!!! I'm super stoked we are going to have the whole day there!

Kay ladies.... I know I'm leaving this so to the last minute, but the personal logos... are you making them yourself, and how? Or is someone designing them for you and whohuh.gif Its been on my list of to do's for awhile, but I keep ignoring it! Any suggestions would be great! Meanwhile I'm going to scour the DIY section!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
