Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Nikki07 -thanks for the input on the ceremony locale dilemma....

The sky deck costs more I think... We had really had our hearts set on that, but once the ceremony is over, you can't linger and have your cocktail hour up there (I thought that was odd), so it seems a little pricey for just the ceremony...

We just liked the seclusion of it, but it doesn't sound like the hotel has been super busy and crowded so far.

Thanks for the link too!

I'm getting excited!

Hey lilmisssunshine, those pictures are absolutely gorgeous!! Did you bring your own photographer in or were they provided by the resort? If they were from the resort, how much did they cost, or were they included in your package? I would LOVE to have photos as beautiful as those ones :)

My photographers are a husband, wife team who were such a pleasure to have along with us on our weddingmoon. I would highly recommend them to anyone. It was the best decision we made and are so happy with our choice. You can also see some pics of our ceremony set up on the beach at the sensatori and our reception at the new plaza. We were the first to have our reception there:) Some of our TTD photos are included as well. i just want to warn you there is a semi nudi pic but all of our parts are covered. There is a nude resort down the beach and all the girls had a day of pictures and one we were pretending to be on the nude resort. Hope no one is offended. I think they are cute and funny. Enjoy.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out what to do about a photographer. I don't know if I should use the ones provided or bring one with me. First off, are we even allowed to do that anymore? If we are, for those of you who have done it, how much did it cost you? For those who have used the ones provided, were you happy with them?

hey meghan.. the couple that had me there didnt have a problem and that was just like 6 weeks ago that i was there. I think as long as you have your photographer stay at the hotel with you they don't care. of course they want you to use their photographers but you can bypass that.

ask mitchell.johanna on here if you have questions about if she had any problems or hoops that had to be jumped through

Hi! I was just wondering the same thing about a photographer! If anyone has used the hotel's I'd really appreciate your input! Also, if you bring your own how many days do they have to stay at the hotel in order to bypass the $500 that they used to make you pay or do you still have to pay that? I really love Elizabeth Medina but she's already kinda expensive!!

Also, has anyone used the DJ? Does anyone know who he is? I was thinking about using one from Cancun that I heard good things about but not sure if this is allowed. Thanks for any help!!

Hey ladies! Last I heard from Tiffany at Azul, they weren't allowing ANY outside photographers (even with the $500 fee) unless they were a guest at the resort for at least 3 nights. It is still listed on the website, though, that you can hire someone else with that $500 fee.

We hired a photographer to come with us from Fort Worth. We agreed to pay $1100 to cover her airfare and her resort stay. She decided to bring her husband and they are paying for that. She is in the process of working out a package for us where she will photograph a welcome reception, getting ready before the wedding, the ceremony, and the reception. I'll let you know as soon as I get the details of it.

I wasn't really that impressed with what I had seen on the websites of the two listed photographers but I hadn't heard anything (good or bad) from other brides. Plus, the package I wanted with them would have been $2500-$3000 and I think we will be able to stay at or under that with our photographer. Another plus is that between now and then we can tell her what we want, what we don't want, send her pictures that we like, etc. Hope this helps!

Hi Jean Marcus, Thanks for your response. What do you charge for doing a destination wedding. If we paid for you to go on the trip, would we also have to pay for you to do our photos?

Just wondering what people are doing for dinner and cocktail reception (or what brides have already done). For those who have gotten the $11 meal, did you think it was good? For those of you who have gotten married, did anyone not have a cocktail reception? If you didnt, what did your guests do while they waited?

hi girls,

for those of you i don't know, i was one of the swine flu brides who had to cancel their mexican weddings. however, i must say, it all worked out perfectly and we had the time of our lives. in 2 weeks i rerouted our 100 guests and planned a successful wedding at the harbor beach marriott in fort lauderdale florida. good luck to all of you and don't sweat the small stuff!

here are our pics: Jenni and Mike's wedding photos - Select Ceremony

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
