My photographers are a husband, wife team who were such a pleasure to have along with us on our weddingmoon. I would highly recommend them to anyone. It was the best decision we made and are so happy with our choice. You can also see some pics of our ceremony set up on the beach at the sensatori and our reception at the new plaza. We were the first to have our reception there:) Some of our TTD photos are included as well. i just want to warn you there is a semi nudi pic but all of our parts are covered. There is a nude resort down the beach and all the girls had a day of pictures and one we were pretending to be on the nude resort. Hope no one is offended. I think they are cute and funny. Enjoy.

Did you have everyone is the same building? If not, was it a problem or inconvienent? I am also concerned that our room is the family building. Is it loud due to children? Thanks!

We stayed in the Azul Bldg and it was great. A bit of advice, though, request an upper level honeymoon suite. We stayed on the 4th floor and it was awesome! I saw a couple on the 1st floor and I would have been upset if that was our room. People are constantly walking by and you don't have a great view of the ocean. In our honeymoon suite, it was wonderful. We had our morning coffee each day on our balcony in only our robes. You couldn't do that if you were on the 1st floor. lol I requested the upper level room through our TA.
As far as our guests, all were in the same bldg and it was great!

Shanda.....we used the sheer fabric that the resort already had.
Thanks!

We just put a deposit down for Feb 14, 2010! I haven't been down to Azul Sensatori before but after hearing so much from you all and a friend of a friend who loved her wedding there, we decided to pull the trigger!

I wanted to ask you ladies what your thoughts are on how many people you invited. We have a lot of family and friends that our parents feel like they need/want to invite, which is part of the reason why we chose Mexico, since we want a small wedding. Our parents just sent us their guest list and it comes out to around 350!! Our parents are making the argument that they know most of them won't come but it's making me nervous. I expect we'll actually get around 150 - which is the max we want/can afford.

Have any of you delt with this? Any advice?

Thanks!

Hi there!

The guest list was the second hardest thing to do besides actually picking a resort. I was fighting the same battle with my family and FH family. They wanted to invite everyone, we wanted a small wedding.

We ended up caving and inviting a lot of people. With the economy the way it is, etc. we had far less people than we thought actually sign up to come. I'm now happy those folks who were important to my family and FH family to invite at least felt included.

We had a total of 72 and then 11 cancelled last week because of the swine flu (totally sucky mass family decision by FH aunts and uncles) but the 72, now 61, is totally manageable and still feels intimate to us.

I hope that helps! Good luck planning!

Hello Ladies!

I'm a new bride to this forum, but I am heading to Azul Sensatori for our Sept 9, 2009 wedding -3 1/2 months away!!!!

We've been booked since january, and I have really enjoyed reading some of your posts, and checking out some of your photos, getting me excited!

I am still trying to decide between the Sky deck ceremony, or a beach ceremony, any thoughts from you guys? I`1

Hi Allisa and welcome!!! I don't think you can go wrong with your ceremony location. The sky deck is BEAUTIFUL! I think it just comes down to personal preference and each individual brides vision of her wedding day. I'm doing a beach ceremony because to me there's no better place and that's what attracted me to do a DW, but that obviously wouldn't be the case for EVERY bride. I remember hearing that the sky deck is really windy but I've heard the same about the beach! Like I said, you can't go wrong! There are pics of both the beach ceremony and sky deck ceremony on here that may help you make a decision.

Here's the link to the first sky deck ceremony:

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
